Why Can’t You Be Magical for You Too?

Why Can’t You Be Magical for You Too?

You absolutely can!

A question I’ve often heard from my clients is “How come I can be magical for other people, but I can’t be magical for myself?” What if that isn’t actually the case? What if you can be magical for you too, but you have these notions that might be limiting what’s actually possible for you? Tune in to this episode because now is the time we all start being the magic not only for other people but for ourselves, too!

[00:00:00] Have you ever wondered why you can’t be magical for you, too? Hello! Welcome to Tools to Create a Better Life with myself, Glenyce Hughes. Thank you so much for being here. I am so incredibly grateful for you.

[00:00:15] Yeah. It is something that I have probably heard more than anything else from my clients. “How come I can be magical for other people, but I can’t be magical for myself? What is that?” Yeah. What is that? What if you could be magical for you, too?

[00:00:34] Now, this podcast is an invite to an upcoming series that I have called “Magical as Fuck“, a 4-part, oh my gosh, actualization series, receiving series, magical capacity series. I mean, it’s all the things.

[00:00:54] There’s gonna be four calls altogether. One of them is going to be all about being magical for you too, because what if it isn’t what you think? What if it isn’t that you can’t be magical for you? What if you have some sort of bizarre point of view about it? What if you have a belief that’s limiting what’s actually possible for you?

[00:01:17] I know for myself, years ago when I started looking at this for me because I could be very magical for other people, I could create all sorts of magic in their life, in their business, in their money flows, all the things. But when it came to being it for me, not so much. What I recognized was that it kind of stemmed from this idea that I know most of us have heard at one point or another. “It is better to give than to receive.” Yeah, I know, right? Crazy!

[00:01:52] Here’s the thing: you can’t actually just give. Well, I shouldn’t say that. You can. You can do it that way, but then energetically it’s just going out one way, so guess what happens to you? You become depleted. You’re just flowing it one way. But gifting and receiving is an energy not even really like a cycle because it’s not. It seems like there’s gifting and receiving and receiving and gifting and, but it’s one energy and it’s a continuous flow of energy.

[00:02:26] And so when we’ve got any beliefs that it’s better to give than to receive or it has to just flow one way, then chances are we’re using that, in a sense, against us. We’re using that as a way to really limit what’s possible for us.

[00:02:43] Because magical capacities aren’t just for other people. Your magical capacities aren’t just for other people. We want to include them, and you wanna include you also. This is the thing where this flow of you being magical. Not you being magical for them, not you being magical for you even. You being magical.

[00:03:13] Now, what does “magic” really mean? Magic, to me, is the willingness to be or do whatever it takes to create what you desire. Maybe even change the end to create what would create greater. Because sometimes when we have this idea of create what we desire, we have a lot of conclusions around that. We have a lot of ways we think that should look, or the ways that that has to look. What if there’s so many ways? What if there’s so many ways?

[00:03:45] It’s the willingness to be or do whatever it takes to create greater. There we go. I like that. That energy, being that in the world without any barriers up to it, without any exclusions, without any insanity, points of views, limiting beliefs, all of that, then you get to be it, including you. You get to receive from it, also. You get to be it, you get to gift it, you get to receive it, and that’s all the same energy. There’s no separation in there and there’s no barriers as long as we don’t put them there.

[00:04:22] There’s different ways and things to look at. I mean depending on what you believe to be true, sometimes we have other lifetimes where we did things that we maybe took an oath or a vow to never be magical for us again or things like that. Sometimes there’s that sort of stuff, and we’ll talk about that more on the call and really go into changing that.

[00:04:45] But ultimately, if you look at that for yourself, if this is something that you’ve wondered about – why can you be so magical for other people? Why does it work out for them when you contribute, but not when you contribute to you? All those sorts of things, and those are great questions to look at for you. It’s like, so what is that? What is that for you? If you did, then what?

[00:05:06] Sometimes that can bring up that really limiting point of view of if I did, if I was magical for me, then people would hate me, it’d be wrong. I mean, there’s all sorts of things that can come up. You don’t need to dissect those things. You just need to be aware of them. What I find is once we’re aware of them, that’s when we’ll change them. Often it’s just the awareness of it. Like, oh!

[00:05:28] I know for myself again, years ago when I was really looking at this, I was like, you know what? When I let go of that idea that it’s better to give than to receive… In fact, when I was willing to just see the insanity of that message, it was like, wow, there’s so many areas of my life that this could ripple out into, because then it really comes to us being all of us.

[00:05:55] Not going, “Well, I better not receive anything here. I better just be the giver,” and then we get depleted because there’s no energy coming back. We’re not receiving anything from it. Usually, that turns into resentment and then there’s all sorts of insanity with that.

[00:06:12] Once I started to piece it apart for myself, it was, I’m gonna say fairly ease for me to really start going, “What if I was magical for me here too?” again, we’re not doing it so that we exclude it from others now. We’re just including us. We’re just including us so that we can receive it, too. Yeah. Yeah.

[00:06:36] Because really, imagine a world with everybody on it being magical, excluding themselves. Okay, that’s a bizarre energy. Now, imagine a world where everybody’s being magical, including themselves. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh, guys. Let’s choose that. Okay, let’s choose that.

[00:06:57] Again, I invite you to the upcoming Magical as Fuck – 4-Part Series to really exponentialize your capacities with magic in ways you never even imagine possible. If you would like more information, you can find the link above or below. If you don’t see a link, reach out and I will get it for you.

[00:07:17] I wonder… I wonder what magic would be possible if we were willing to include ourselves in the magic that we be. Have a great week, sweet friends. I look forward to chatting again next week.

[00:00:00] Is there a way to control the uncontrollable? Welcome to Tools to Create a Better Life with myself, Glenyce Hughes. I am so incredibly grateful that you are here.

So ,is there? Is there a way to control the uncontrollable? Now, I know that ultimately we’re looking to get out of control. I know that. I know it’s something I’ve been choosing towards in maybe bits and pieces over many, many years, and I’m way better at being out of control than ever before.

[00:00:36] What does out of control mean? It means allowing it to be what it is. Allowing the situation, the event, the relationship, whatever it is, to be what it is rather than deciding what it has to be and pushing and forcing, and making it be something that I’ve decided. So, I’m way better [with it now.]

[00:00:58] What came up for me the other day, many of you know we’re in the process of getting our house packed up. We’re gonna move everything that we own that we would like to keep into storage, and then we’re hitting the road. We’re gonna sell this beautiful acreage. If anybody’s looking for an acreage near Sherwood Park, Alberta and loves the swimming pool, keep our place in mind.

[00:01:25] What we’re doing is we’re going to go around the world house and kitty sitting – animal sitting. We’ll probably do some dogs in that, but of course, our preference is kitties.

[00:01:38] The other day, there was so much magic that occurred. I had talked to a good friend of mine who’s a realtor. You guys have heard me talk about him before – Chris Hassall. If you ever have realtor needs in Lloydminster, Alberta/Saskatchewan, please reach out to him. He’s amazing.

[00:01:57] We were just chatting about things and he was just giving me some tips and suggestions and such. And then, the next morning I woke up to a random Facebook message from a local realtor who had seen a post that I’d put in one of the local groups two months ago. He was just following up with what I’d post like, what? It was so cool. I spoke with him and all of a sudden it was like, “Oh wow. Shit’s getting real.” Shit’s getting real! What?!

[00:02:31] What was occurring is this feeling of — you guessed it — out of control. What I know about myself with that energy is that often, I can stop it. I can find a way. If I don’t acknowledge what it is, I’ll energetically stop it, which is usually not what I’m asking for. In fact, it’s usually the exact opposite of what I’m asking for.

[00:02:55] As I became aware of that energy, I became aware that I could stop it. I started looking at, okay, yes, stopping it is one. What else though? What else could I actually choose with it? Huh? Okay, what would I require to have ease with it?

[00:03:15] Now, I’m super excited about this possibility. I’m not sitting back going, “Oh, I wish we weren’t doing this.” I’m not. Also, there’s still aspects of it that are totally out of control like what if I pack something away that I require when we’re, say, in Australia? Oh no! Okay, go buy it! Hello?!

[00:03:39] I mean, there’s these energies, right? That come up when there’s things that we can’t control — at least for me, there’s all sorts of insanity that comes with it and this idea that I should control it, that it’s right to control it when that’s the exact opposite of what I’m asking for.

[00:03:56] However, I also have to honor me. I have to trust me. I can’t just go, “Oh, you know what? I need to be out of control, so forget it.” I’m just out of control and go on. No, I have to acknowledge that I like control so much that I may try to stop this magic because of my love for control, the lies I bought into that somehow control is better than out of control, that somehow control is right and out of control is wrong.

[00:04:27] In recognizing that, it was like, “Okay, so what do I actually require to put in place to have that sense of ease with the out of control?” We could call it “controlling the uncontrollable,” which is kind of the title that I used but really, to me, it’s an honoring of me in this process. It’s an honoring of me and Hubby because of course, Hubby’s coming with me so also, what does he require?

[00:05:01] One of the things that he said right from the beginning is he needs to know that if we don’t enjoy it, we could come back and most of our stuff would still be available. I had this idea that we would go and just sell everything and he’s like, “No, I need to know that if we don’t enjoy it, we come back and we don’t have to start from scratch.” Okay, we’ll rent a storage and put the stuff in that we love. We’ll put it into storage. That’s what he needs and there will be more things. But that’s one thing that I was aware of that he needs.

[00:05:35] As I really felt that uncontrollable and attempt to maybe control it, the other day after I talked to the realtor, it was like, “What do I require?” And so what I started doing was going through my stuff almost from a different energy of, “Okay, I would love to have this, but I don’t necessarily need it. Okay. But if I would love to have it, I’m actually gonna keep it for now.”

[00:06:06] This is a few months before we list. We’ll probably list in May when the pool is nice and open and swimmable. Who knows? Maybe that will change. By then, maybe this will change. But for right now, in order to honor me and to honor this process and for me not to stop it, I have to know that I can feel okay through the process. Hopefully, that makes sense, guys. It sure makes sense in my head, but as I’m saying it, I’m starting to question it. So, yeah.

[00:06:41] What do you require to be okay in those situations of uncontrollable? Maybe there’s been situations you haven’t allowed to get there because you haven’t looked at that. What if that’s possibly the missing piece?

[00:06:57] Maybe you wanted to change a job. Maybe you don’t love where you work and you’d like to change that. A lot of times people go, “Oh, well. I just couldn’t go through all of that.” But you don’t have to do it. What if you started looking at what you might require to be okay with that?

[00:07:17] Maybe you start looking at what’s available without telling yourself you can’t. You just start looking at what jobs could you apply for. Maybe there’s one that feels really great to apply for. Maybe you apply for it, but you tell yourself you don’t actually have to take it. Even if you get it, you don’t have to take it. Like, allowing yourself.

[00:07:39] To me, it’s like a baby step. We can be so kind and caring to ourselves through these times of change that maybe it’s the change we’re asking for. It’s a change we’ve been dreaming of, such in my case, but also, be honorable. Be honoring of you to recognize when you might need a little bit of space or a little bit of assistance or the baby steps or whatever it is so that you can maybe feel a little bit in control through the uncontrollable.

[00:08:18] We don’t wanna control it, but we also really need to honor where we’re at. At least I do, or I’m gonna kill it. These are things I know about myself and that comes to being so honest with ourselves. The willingness to be so honest with ourselves about what is, what we require, what we might choose, and really honor that.

[00:08:45] A couple of things I would love to invite you to is the Bars. We’ve got one coming up in May. I’m gonna co-facilitate with Kim in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Yes, we’re going on the road! I’m so excited. I believe, if I have the dates correct, that’s May 25 for Bars and then I’m following up with me facilitating Foundation there. Come and play. I would love to hug you in person.

[00:09:13] Even though we’re listing, I still set a Pool Party Bars and Foundation. I was like, “You know what? I can always move it.” If we have to move it somewhere, we’ll move it. We’ll move it. Hopefully, I could find an Airbnb with a pool or something. Otherwise, the name will just be funny.

[00:09:28] But Pool Party Bars and Foundation, I did move it into June though for this year. If you can get here guys, I would love to have you come and play, and I truly wonder what else is possible and where else we will have these magical classes as we start going around the world? So excited.

[00:09:47] Thank you so much for being here. I’m so incredibly grateful, and I look forward to chatting again next week.

[00:00:00] Have you ever wondered how to get paid to share the things you love? Well, stick around because I’m gonna share all about that in this podcast episode. Welcome to Tools to Create a Better Life with myself, Glenyce Hughes. I am so grateful that you are here. Let’s get into it!

[00:00:19] Getting paid to share what you love could also be called “affiliate programs,” “referral programs.” It’s basically where you sign up with a company that you love and you get what’s called a “special link.” When you share that special link and somebody uses it to buy the thing, you then get a percentage or whatever the company has set up for the affiliate program.

[00:00:44] It’s magical. I love it! I have been choosing so much more of this in the past, probably a year or so, and it’s such a magical way to receive more money and also to get paid to share what you love.

[00:01:00] If you would like a more in-depth training about this, I happen to have one. It is called the “Get Paid to Share What You Love – Quickie Money Training.” You will find the link above or below. It’s in my brand new shop. I’m so excited, guys! If you haven’t checked out my new shop, go check it out. It’s amazing.

[00:01:19] What I wanna talk about with this is for me. This doesn’t mean this is for you, but for me personally, I actually have to have an energy about the thing I’m selling. I have to actually love it really. I know there’s so many people on the planet who don’t, who could just sell anything, and that’s great. I’m happy for them. I actually have to have an energy where I truly love it or enjoy it or use it or whatever. That’s just always been my way.

[00:01:55] That’s a thing that I wanted to talk about today. One of the quickest ways to get started is look at the things you love. Are you constantly on Amazon ordering? What about becoming an affiliate with Amazon? Do you love a certain brand of coffee? Have you checked? Do they have an affiliate [program]?

[00:02:15] As I say that, I’m like, I’m actually gonna check with the company that had the coffee I use. I use Kicking Horse Coffee and it is from British Columbia, the province next door to us here in Alberta, and it’s so delicious. I love it so much. Anyway, so… squirrel!

[00:02:32] You start looking at the things. Look at the things you use every day, all day, and then start looking on those webpages. Go check them out. I’m gonna check out Kicking Horse. The brand or the name of my coffee is Kickass, of course, but it’s a Kicking Horse. I’ll go to that webpage.

[00:02:52] Usually, I just scroll right down to the bottom and it’ll talk about affiliates. If you don’t see any information, reach out! Just email them. Tell them what you would like to do. Who knows, right? The worst you can get is “no.” There’s so many companies.

[00:03:08] I get asked a lot, actually, if I have an affiliate program. I have over the years, on and off. The one thing from a business standpoint that you need to run is affiliates. I don’t know if you “need” it, but I really appreciate it. It’s a really good kind of program that is able to track all the links and all the sales and all of that.

[00:03:32] I haven’t been overly happy with the ones I’ve used in the past. Now with Shopify, I can do that. Possibly in the next few months, you will see that come out where you’ll be able to be an affiliate for things in the store. I haven’t taken the time to research it, but it is on my list so it’s possible in the future, and I’ve had people reach out, also.

[00:03:51] Now, some of the things. If you buy certain programs from me, then you go straight to a link where you could sign up to be an affiliate because, again, where it’s being sold has a really great affiliate tracking.

[00:04:04] But really, start looking at those things that you love. Start searching for those and check out what they offer. You’re probably already sharing the information anyway. You’re probably already saying, “Oh guys, have you tried out this new app?” “Have you tried this new thing?” “Have you read this book?” There’s so many things that we can be affiliates for.

[00:04:29] And then if you happen to run a business, then what are you constantly telling your customers or your clients about that you could maybe become an affiliate?

[00:04:38] For me, I sell different Canva templates in different programs, and so I became an affiliate with Canva because I’m telling people I’m selling things that are using Canva to utilize them. If somebody wants them and doesn’t happen to have an account, they can use that link, etc.

[00:04:57] So really, just get excited about the possibilities with multiple profitable revenue streams. That’s what I often refer to them as. Look at all the really fun, unique ways that you can share those links.

[00:05:14] The one thing you do want to be aware of is that in many countries, when you share an affiliate link, you do need to say that. It does need to be posted along with it if you’re doing a social media or link or post or something like that. Just keep that in mind. It’s easy enough to do.

[00:05:33] For the most part, people that are appreciating your referral or your suggestion, they’re so grateful for that. They don’t care. They’re happy to, you know, have you get paid a little bit or whatever. It may not be money, it might be something else depending on what the program has set up, but there’s so many different ways. I just wanted to share that and really get you maybe a little bit more open to the possibilities to, again, multiple profitable revenue stream.

[00:06:00] So first step, go and search the things you love and sign up for those affiliate programs and just get started. You would like more information? Of course you can check out the “Get Paid to Share What You Love (a.k.a Affiliate Program) Money Quickie Training“.

[00:06:19] All right. Have a great week, sweet friends. I look forward to chatting again next week.

[00:00:00] Hello and welcome to Tools to Create a Better Life with myself, Glenyce Hughes. Thank you so much for being here. I am so incredibly grateful for you.

[00:00:11] 3 Ways to Create Magic in Your Business

The way that I see magic is really not the airy-fairy, woo-woo, sitting on your couch, closing your eyes, doing nothing. I mean, sometimes that can occur. Of course. But magic, to me, is really the willingness to be or do, or be AND do whatever is required to change something, whatever is required to change what isn’t working. These different ways are just kind of a mix of that basically. It’s a mix of them together, what I often call “the logic and the woo” and putting them together to be the magic that you truly be.

[00:01:02] The first one — I talk about this a lot. I’ve certainly been talking about it a lot lately. It’s all about turning the one molecule that when you turn it will change whatever is required.

[00:01:17] Yeah, I know. When I first learned about this tool, it was back in, gosh, probably 2011 or 2012, it was shared in the Foundation manual for Access Consciousness®. Of course, I became a facilitator of Access Consciousness® and Foundation, and so I shared it as it was given in the manual.

[00:01:40] As it was given in the manual was all around just a body thing. If you had something going on with your body, you would do this and it would change it as if by magic. Amazing. And then, I heard somebody talking about how they used it in their business and I was like, What? It had never occurred to me to actually use this tool outside of the body thing. Please don’t be me. Please be smarter and use it on everything. I’m gonna share it from a business perspective, but please use it on everything.

[00:02:15] The other thing that I wanna let you know is that in a couple weeks, depending on when you’re listening to this, this is starting on February 13, 2023. Of course, you can grab it later. We’re gonna do a daily turn the one molecule on specific situations business-wise. If you’d like more information, you can check the link above or below. If you don’t see a link, reach out and I’ll get it for you. But we’re gonna do this together to really shift some things, my friends. To really create the magic.

[00:02:47] Basically with turning the one molecule, it is very similar if you’ve done energetic exercises with me before. It’s very similar to that, except that we’re energetically turning the molecule. Now, a lot of people get confused because they go, “Well, how do I know which one? How do I know if there is one? What’s a molecule?”

[00:03:05] It really is an energetic thing. I’ll walk you through a quick one here. Even though it sounds like we’re physically doing something, I’m gonna walk you through and I’m gonna use words. It kind of puts it in our mind as though it’s that. It’s an energy thing. Even if you didn’t even really listen to the words, energetically, it’s occurring. This is, to me, so cool because as you’re listening, it’s occurring already.

[00:03:40] I’m gonna do a really quick basic one. Again if you’d like more, join us for the 5 days of turning the one molecule.

[00:03:49] Start by closing your eyes. Make sure it’s safe to do that. You’re not driving or something, just closing your eyes.

[00:03:57] What you wanna do is bring up the energy of the situation. Bring up something in your business that isn’t the way you would like it to be. Just take a moment, bring that up. Often, what occurs when we do that is we get a little bit heavy or contractive. That’s okay, we’re gonna change it. Okay? Just become aware of that, what you would like it to be like… sorry, not what you’d like it to be like but where it is right now.? Stay. Stay with that energy. Okay? Again, I know it’s heavy, it’s not so fun.

[00:04:25] Now, what I want you to do is energetically go up above your body, like, you’re gonna go outside of your body a hundred miles or a hundred kilometers. You’re gonna look down at that situation, that energy… and now, you’re just gonna turn the one molecule that when you turn it, will change it.

[00:04:47] Remember, this is a BEing. This is not a doing. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, that’s okay. Just be with it. Be with it without judgment, without trying to figure it out, without you being right or wrong and all that. Just be with it.

[00:05:01] You’re just turning the molecule. You can turn it 180 degrees, or you can turn and turn and turn and turn and turn and turn and turn. Whatever you would like to do. Yeah .

[00:05:12] Once you’ve turned it, just check if there’s any more to turn. If there is, go ahead and turn those… Yeah, there you go.

[00:05:23] Now, you’re gonna come back down into your body. You’re going to feel your feet on the floor, your bum in your chair, your back on the back of the chair, and then you’re energetically gonna expand out into all of you as the infinite of being you truly be.

[00:05:38] Now, what I want you to do is get present with that situation again. If there’s any heaviness left, points of views, limitations, crazies, insanities, whatever, what I want you to do is put it into a tube. Some sort of a metal tube. Just put it inside, put a lid on it, all that heaviness, that ickiness, whatever it is, and just shake the shit out of it. You don’t have to move your hands like I am. If you’re watching this on video, you don’t have to do this, but I do often. We’re just shaking and shaking, and shaking, and shaking, and basically you’re shaking it until everything inside dissipate… and it dissipates, so then the tube itself is gone also. There you go.

[00:06:27] Check back in to that situation… and if there isn’t space there, if there isn’t the space that could be there, then you could go through that process again. If there’s more space but not as much as you would like, you could go through that again.

[00:06:42] You could also do this everyday. Again, we’re gonna do this on specific things for those five days. You’ll find the list on the page, just to really get a sense of how to utilize this tool and really how to change and be the magic that you truly be.

[00:07:00] Another way to create magic in your business is to actually receive from the business. I know this is a foreign concept. When I started my business 20 years ago, I really was the Bossy Bosserson. I did not involve my business at all. I didn’t even see it as the magical business partner that it is, and it took me years to actually get there. It took me years to really start getting that the business is contributing. The business would love to contribute.

[00:07:37] What really inspired this — well, actually a couple things, but the one that I highly recommend you do if this interests you is to go read the book “Big Magic” by Elizabeth Gilbert. This was such an eye opener to me of what’s really going on.

And then of course, the tools from Access Consciousness® with regards to communing and everything having an energy, everything having a consciousness of its own and really recognizing that for our businesses.

[00:08:06] The way that I see it, kind of from the way that Elizabeth Gilbert talks about it, is our businesses knocked on our door, and we answered. They didn’t knock on our door and hand it to us. They knocked on our door and walked in, so it’s about receiving from it. It’s about involving it, engaging with it, co-creating with it. The more that you’re willing to receive from it, the more magic you truly will create.

[00:08:32] It is a whole energy that, I’m gonna say, may be ease for you. It wasn’t ease for me. The reason that it wasn’t ease for me is because I am a control freak of magnitude, my sweet friends, and possibly, you are too. To really start letting go and and involving another energy, that was big. But I can promise you, the magic on the other side of that is huge.

[00:09:04] If you’re doing force and push in your business, you’re not receiving from your business. If you’re tired and exhausted at the end of your workday, you’re not receiving from your business. I can pretty much say that guaranteed. It really is about a gifting and a receiving. If your businesses knocked on your door and said, “Hey, would you co-create this with me?” then it wants to contribute, too. It wants to assist, too. It wants to be magical with you, too. It’s about receiving from it.

[00:09:34] What I recommend is, if this is new to you, every business day, start with a 5-10 minute coffee with your business, or tea or Coke or water, whatever, and just sit down and write a list of the things that you would like your business to give you input about. Turn those into yes or no questions and invite your business to gift you the awareness.

[00:10:00] Awareness – I’ve done many, many shows on that. You can go and search my Radio Show section. If you didn’t know, you can search it. It’s so simple. You could just go type in “awareness” in that search bar and in the show notes, which you receive every Sunday if you are on my email list. If you’re not, what the heck?

We’ll put a link to that radio show thing and then you just scroll down a little bit and it’ll search our blog, which is search the radio show. Just type in “aware” or “awareness” and they’ll come up all the times that I’ve talked about awareness whether it’s a weekly video or the radio show.

[00:10:39] With that, you just basically start creating that gifting and receiving with your business and there is, again, so much magic in that because your business is infinitely aware. Your business doesn’t have the same crazy or points of views you do. When you’re asking your business, your business can guide you from awareness, whereas lots of times, we’re choosing from limitation or from points of views.

[00:11:06] If you would like to be gifting and receiving with the business more, really communing with it, really co-creating the magic with it, I invite you to join me for Business Done Different. You can join us online, or if you are in Alberta or can get to Alberta, we’re gonna be in Leduc, Alberta for it. It is on February 14th, 15th, and 16th of 2023.

There will be more. If you’re listening later, there will be more coming. Just reach out and I will get you the new dates. I would love to have you come play. It is such a magical… I was gonna say class, but boy, it’s so much more than that. And the manual you get? Whoa. Just whoa.

[00:11:47] Anyway, all right. Number three is… I kind of talked about it earlier. It’s ask and action. It’s logic and woo, as I often will refer to this stuff. It’s where we ask for what we would like, and then look at and get present with what action can we take.

[00:12:07] When I very first started my business 20 years ago, I was in this space of “I’m just gonna ask and do nothing, and then it will show up.” Ah… that doesn’t work so well, my friends. If you have, say, a class coming up, you have to take the action to let people know it’s coming up. Otherwise, it’s gonna be very difficult for people to know. Keep that in mind, the two together: asking and action. Ask for what you would like.

[00:12:41] The way that I word my asks are usually pretty simple. I use “I wonder” a lot, and I don’t mean I just say the words “I wonder.” I mean, I actually wonder.

I wonder what it would be like to have a group of 20 for the Business Done Different in February. I wonder what that would be like…

and then I truly wonder. I’m not kidding. I wonder about it.

I wonder…. I wonder what that would be like. Huh. I wonder what that would be like to have a group of 20 in person and 20 online. I wonder what that would be like… yeah.

[00:13:21] You just wonder. I wonder a lot, that’s why I I often refer to myself as the “Wonder Woman.” Also, you can use, “What would it take?

What would it take to have 20 people online and 20 people in person?

Now, I’m gonna change some wording there:

I wonder what it would be like to have at least 20 people online and at least 20 people in person for the upcoming Business Done Different class. What would that take?

So, “what would it take…” You can finish that in that sense.

[00:13:55] The other way that I like to form questions. Those two questions are inspired by Access Consciousness®, and then this one is inspired by Noah St. John, and he does “afformations.” You can search him. He turns them into “why questions” like:

Why is it so easy for me to have at least 20 people online and 20 people in person for the upcoming Business Done Different classes? Why is that so easy for me?

Why do all of my classes fill up really quickly?

Why am I so magical in business?

[00:14:32] And I always smile. For some of you, that might not be a fun way to word questions. Please use what works for you. There is no right or wrong, but you just wanna start asking, and then what’s the action? If I would like at least 20 people online and in person, what’s the action?

[00:14:51] Some is pretty easy. One, I do a radio show about business and invite you. That’s one way. The different social media posts and lives and different things like that. There have been people that I’ve been reaching out to that had asked about them earlier that I’ve let know. And then, “Business, show me.

Business, show me. Show me what else I can be and do today to invite people to be the invitation to this.

[00:15:19] You’re mixing the logic and the woo. You’re asking and you’re taking action. Yeah.

[00:15:26] I wonder, my sweet friends, what might be possible if you were willing to create magic in your business every day. Every day. All right. Have a great week, and I look forward to chatting with you next week.

How Lies Kill Your Possibilities

How Lies Kill Your Possibilities

How Lies Kill Your Possibilities

Are you being honest with yourself?

I used to live my life in lies – the kind where I choose not to be aware of what is actually happening around me just so I could go on believing that everything is perfect the way it is when in reality, there’s a lot more that I could be creating. Sound familiar? Tune in to this episode to know more about how lies kill your possibilities and how you can start getting honest with yourself!

[00:00:00] Hello and welcome to Tools to Create a Better Life with myself, Glenyce Hughes. Thank you so much for being here. I am so incredibly grateful for you.

[00:00:11] How lies are killing your possibilities. This is a topic that I couldn’t have spoken about 10 years ago. I lived my life in lies, and I don’t mean the lies that I’m six feet tall when I’m not even barely five foot one. Not those lies, but the lies where we don’t choose to be aware of what is actually going on. What is actually being created, what is actually turning out or happening in that sense.

[00:00:48] What I mean is if something is going on.. Let’s say, I’ll use weight for example. There’s been times where I’ve lost some weight, and then I stopped getting on the scale so that I didn’t have to be aware when I was gaining the weight back. It’s not right or wrong, it’s just a choice that I know that I have made countless times in the past. This is something that I would often do to myself to ensure that I could stay in the lie.

[00:01:22] Even from a business standpoint, this is where data can be really great because you can actually start to be aware of things that you maybe wouldn’t otherwise be aware if you weren’t tracking them.

[00:01:37] If you have, like, the size of your email list, from a business standpoint, if you’d like to be increasing that, that’s great. You just might wanna track it so you know which way it’s going. Maybe you do something: maybe you do a free opt-in, which means people give you their email address and they get a free audio download, let’s say.

[00:02:01] If you track how many people come in on that, and then, let’s say a month later you do something else where they get a PDF handout instead, then you can look at those two and go, “Okay, well, the PDF handout really seemed to bring in two or three times more compared to the audio download.” It gives you information.

[00:02:21] This is what I’m talking about. When we lie to ourselves, it kills possibilities. I don’t mean you have to track everything. I do. I love tracking. You guys know that. If you’ve been around for a while, I love tracking things. It keeps me present and aware, but you don’t have to.

[00:02:40] What you do wanna look at is [if] what you’re telling yourself [is] really true. For a lot of businesses—I work with a lot of people in business, obviously. There’s been a lot of change in their businesses. Even for myself, what I have seen is the quicker we come out and become aware of that, the quicker we let ourselves know that, the quicker that we can then become aware of the possibilities and what else we might like to choose, what else we could change, what else is possible.

[00:03:16] It doesn’t mean that there’s a story attached. We don’t have to say, “There’s a recession and nobody’s buying my stuff.” Not that, but recognize. A year ago when I had that similar class, there was 200 people, and this year there was 100 people. We get curious: Okay, what is that?

[00:03:37] The thing that I look at for myself with a lot of that, and this kind of sounds funny, is I look at, is it still fun for me? Because we can get into this idea that once it works, we should just keep doing it. What if that’s not the case?

[00:04:00] For me, I know that my business thrives when I’m having fun. I know that. If I love what I’m doing, what I’m choosing, what I’m creating, my business will thrive. So that’s usually the first thing I look at when something changes. Am I still having fun with this? Do I still enjoy this? Would I like to continue with this? I look at that.

[00:04:20] If those are Yeses, then okay, so then what else? There might be limiting beliefs or limiting points of views in there to clear. It might be something like that. It might also be that something else has changed, so then you just get curious and you look at it. You look at what’s required to change it so that you’re not in the fantasy of, “Oh no, everything’s the same.”

[00:04:47] This is why I talk about the tracking, because that tracking becomes a part of the information. I took a class last week and as many of you know, I’m starting up a Shopify shop. It should be ready. I’m so excited for February 1st, 2023. And so I took a class last week about setting it up and all the pieces.

[00:05:15] She does this level of data collection that I’ve never seen before. I mean, Wow. I was so inspired. What it really showed me was that she would know something is changing within a week of it changing. That is how thorough her data is.

[00:05:41] This is more from a shop perspective and the sales that are coming in, but not just the sales that are coming in. What’s the email that was sent out to about that? How many clicks? How many purchase? All the pieces that when she would like to go and send another email about that similar product, she can go and look at her data and see which one worked. There’s just so many pieces to it.

[00:06:08] A lot of that is form and structure. Yes. We want to add the form and the structure. As I often call it, “add the logic with the woo.” I do both. I don’t do the data to the degree she does, and I’m going to with my shop, absolutely, because I can really see the value of it. I can really see how much quicker things can be.

[00:06:30] However, with the question, with the woo in there, with following the energy, the lightness, and really merging them together even more so that we’re not in the fantasy.

[00:06:43] Let’s be honest, usually the fantasy is that either everything’s perfect the way it is if it isn’t, and also if it isn’t, then the fantasy usually is, “I’m wrong and I’m bad. It’s not working because I’m wrong and I’m bad.”

[00:07:01] No. It could just be it’s time to change something. In my case, it couldn’t be just that it’s not fun anymore, so it’s time to change something instead of it being like some personal like I’m wrong and bad and that’s why it changed. No, it’s probably I’m just not having fun anymore. As soon as that fun changes for me, man, I show myself very quickly.

[00:07:23] Look at that in your own life and be willing to be honest with you about one, if you’re having fun with whatever it is, but also the awareness.

[00:07:34] This is where, again, the tracking, and I’ve talked a lot about tracking money. I track the money that comes in, I track the money that goes out. I have a very clear awareness of our money so that I can also be aware of when things like that start to shift and change so that I’m not shocked.

[00:07:53] I do that because I used to not. I used to live, I used to call it “my head up my ass.” In fact, we have a radio show called “Get Your Head Out of Your Ass” about this back from May 2014. I remember that clearly because it was when I actually chose to get clear about my money so that I wasn’t shocked anymore. I wasn’t shocked when this huge credit card bill would come in and be like, “What? How did that happen? How did that happen?” No, no. Now, I’m aware of it all. I’m tracking it.

[00:08:25] The level of space and peace by tracking things, for me anyway, it’s huge. You may not enjoy starting, getting it started, or setting it up or whatever, but just recognize that if it’s something that you are living in the lies or living in the fantasies of things being the way they aren’t, check in with yourself as to maybe there’s way more possibilities when you’re willing to be aware of what it is, whatever it is.

[00:09:01] I’ve talked about money, business, and weight. You can use it on anything. Again, you don’t have to track it. You just wanna be aware of what’s required to stay aware of it and present with it. For me, that’s tracking.

[00:09:18] Anyway, just wanted to share that with you in case it’s something you’ve been looking at, especially in January. We’re in January of 2023 at this time of recording. A lot of times people are looking at their last year and they’re going into the wrongness of themself and it’s like, no. Just look at what is, get present with. How are you gonna stay aware of it? How are you gonna stay present with it? And then what’s required? What would you like it to be like? Merge the logic with the woo, my sweet friends. Merge them. Yes.

[00:09:47] If you are in business and you would like to join us, I have a training coming up on January 31st, and it will be available in the shop once it is complete about “How to Get Paid to Create Your Product.” Yes, and there’s lots of different pieces to it. There’ll be a link above or below. You can check it out.

[00:10:09] Of course, we have the 5-week “Beyond What You Desire” Coaching with me. I would love to coach you, my sweet friends. That link again is above or below. Have a great week and I look forward to chatting again next week.

[00:00:00] Glenyce: Welcome everybody to Tools to Create a Better Life with myself, Glenyce Hughes. I am so incredibly grateful that you are here.

I am so incredibly grateful that I have two of the most magical people I know also joining me. Yes. We have V and O’tion all the way from British Columbia, which if you don’t know Canada, it doesn’t matter, but if you do, it’s on the west coast and they happen to have an ocean view where they get to see whales and all the things. I’m so incredibly grateful that they are here. Thank you guys for joining me.

Just before I get you to do a little intro, I’m going to share the topic that we will be discussing which is all about helping clients change chronic pain. You’re gonna wanna listen to this one. If you two would do a little intro so people can know who you are…

[00:01:04] O’tion: Yeah. So, I’m O’tion.

[00:01:05] V: And I’m V.

[00:01:07] O’tion: This company on her little shirt right here, we founded Empowered Healers Academy almost four years ago actually.

[00:01:14] V: That’s right.

[00:01:14] O’tion: It started off because I suffered from debilitating chronic migraines and had tried all medical interventions and no one had thought to ask about my emotional state at all. And so, I had tried the highest form of pain meds and we had gone to the hospital and CT scans and all sorts of things.

[00:01:36] V: I even remember sitting with the neurologist. We were sitting in the office and I remember sitting there being like, “This is not enough.” There has to be something more. That cascaded us on this journey, really. For me, it was partly ego-driven because I was an acupuncturist at that time and I was like, “I should be able to know how to do this. Why can I help?” and so it pulled us into this whole journey.

[00:02:02] O’tion: Yeah. And really, just learning about the fact that repressed emotions and unresolved emotional trauma and even unmet needs can cause chronic pain.

[00:02:12] V: Totally.

[00:02:13] O’tion: She listens to a podcast and within a 15-minute conversation, she helps me uncover this random memory. It’s not always traumatic. It’s not always big, heavy moments that we’re helping people resolve.

It was a memory from when I was 12 years old and my dad had bought me an iPod Touch, but he told me to make sure that my stepmom didn’t find out. My stepmom always came before us as kids. There was a lot of neglect, some emotional abuse, and here’s this little kid, a 12-year-old old who has this joy around a gift and is also told that “you have to suppress that joy, hide that joy, and make sure this woman doesn’t find out about it.”

Those are the moments that we’re helping people uncover. When she helped me uncover that, I haven’t even had a migraine since, and they were…

[00:03:05] V: They were debilitating. You even threw up driving your car one day.

[00:03:08] O’tion: Yes.

[00:03:08] V: It was extreme.

[00:03:10] O’tion: I was driving down the Whitemud in Edmonton when we still lived in Edmonton, and I knew I had 15 minutes to get home because when you start to get a migraine and the ocular…

[00:03:19] V: It all starts. The vision closes in…

[00:03:20] O’tion: I was like, I gotta get home! I knew the nausea, all of it. I puked into a dog poop bag. That was like rock bottom. But it’s so beautiful because I also learned from that that oftentimes the thing that we struggle with or the pain, it really can be channeled into. Once you learn that, it’s like, “We need to help other people!”

[00:03:46] V: So many people. And then, so many people were being helped by it that I literally couldn’t fit people on my schedule.

[00:03:53] O’tion: You started to do it in your practice.

[00:03:54] V: I started doing it in practice.

[00:03:56] O’tion: She started to have people driving from Calgary to Edmonton, from Saskatchewan, just to experience this. You were doing what most practitioners and acupuncturists weren’t.

[00:04:06] V: That’s right. Yeah.

[00:04:07] O’tion: We bottled it up into a system and now we mentor practitioners and teach them how to do the same, and it’s very cool.

[00:04:14] Glenyce: I love that.

[00:04:14] O’tion: That’s who we are.

[00:04:15] Glenyce: I love that so much. Thank you so much for that intro. I love it because it’s such an invitation for people to really recognize that it often isn’t what we think it is. You know? All of the doctors and all of that.

I’ve had migraines, too. I haven’t had them for years but I used to, and I remember that feeling. If you Google it, not one of those Googles would’ve said anything about that memory that you had.

[00:04:44] V: Right?

[00:04:45] Glenyce: That’s so cool. Part of it too, before we talk about our topic, I wanted to share that you guys have another class starting soon. I am an affiliate for that. We’ll have the affiliate link so you guys can go check it out. If you guys just wanna talk about that a little bit, about what’s starting in February of 2023, and if people are listening later, how they might connect with you, too?

[00:05:16] O’tion: Our certification program is for healers and practitioners who really want to access that level of healing with their clients, where their clients have tried everything.

We have a 6-month immersion. It’s deep because we’re working on you as the human who comes into this world perfect and pure, and then has a shit ton of conditioning and unmet needs and all of the things that need to be dismantled. It’s a very embodied program where you go through the experience and then essentially, we teach you and certify you to be able to do this for your clients.

[00:05:53] Glenyce: That is awesome. If people are listening and going, “I don’t have a practice but I’d sure like a session,” how do they find the people that have went through your training?

[00:06:05] O’tion: You can go to www.armyofhealers.com, and that’s essentially the movement that we are creating. It’s an army of empowered healers. You can go to www.armyofhealers.com and a bunch of our practitioners are listed there.

If you do struggle, we’ve got practitioners who are primarily online and virtual sessions because this work, it doesn’t know time and space so you can do it online. Also, we have practitioners as far as Germany…

[00:06:36] V: … Mexico…

[00:06:37] O’tion: … Zurich, Mexico, Guatemala, we got some down in the States, and then here. It just depends on if they’re operating in person or primarily online.

[00:06:46] Glenyce: I love that. I love that so much. All of these, of course, will be in the show notes, guys. It’ll be in the link below if you’re listening on the podcast. If for some reason you can’t find anything, reach out. You can reach out to me, of course, or to V or to O’tion, and we will get you all the links.

[00:07:00] Glenyce: So, let’s talk about how to help your clients change chronic pain.

[00:07:07] V: This is a great topic. I think, right off the bat, one of the coolest things to even recognize is whether it’s physical pain or emotional pain. Going from there is really easy to decipher what system to use based off of that.

Most people can realize right away whether something like chronic pain is physically induced if it’ll respond to physical treatment, so that’s awesome. But if it’s emotional pain, it won’t often actually have long-standing resolution with something like acupuncture or massage or chiro or cranio. Something like that will give you the short-term relief, but it just keeps coming back. There’s often this emotional goop that’s underneath it that’s just waiting to burst through the surface.

It’s enough to get people agitated and cranky. I like to mention that because most people who are in chronic pain are agitated and cranky in some way or sense, right? They’re not in that nice, restful, easy, flowy state. Anyways, I like to mention that so that people are like, “Oh, that could be emotional?”

[00:08:10] V: I was just talking to his guy right before this call and he was like, “What do you do?” I was telling him the system and he went, “Wait a minute, I’m in a lot of pain all the time. You’re telling me that that could be a single past experience that’s creating all this pain?”

I was like, “Yeah!”

He is like, “This is a medical revolution!”

I’m like, “Well, yeah! Emotions that are not fully expressed can create all sorts of pain in the body.”

[00:08:37] O’tion: It’s interesting too because if you even just think of the memory that I had shared about, I had to suppress that joy. Where does it go? That much energy that wants to come up and out, whether that’s anger as a kid because a parent overrode your needs or they used guilt to get you to make choices, where does that energy go? We’re taught to just shove it.

[00:09:02] V: Shove it down!

[00:09:03] O’tion: It has to come out somewhere. Even with joy, though, or our fullest expression. We wanna wear these badass glasses, but maybe we’re scared of how people are gonna judge us, and so we shove that down. It changes our posture. It changes the space that we take up in the world. It completely changes how we express ourselves.

And so, the opposite of expression is depression. When we’re in that state of depression, it’s like your body’s not free. The moment that we start to just remove those anchors, it’s like we’re this balloon that can…

[00:09:42] V: … that can move and open and expand!

[00:09:44] O’tion: You gotta snip the string off the anchor so that you can…

[00:09:48] V: You can go!

[00:09:49] O’tion: You can go! Yeah.

[00:09:52] V: What I found really interesting, even when you look at the science of how the body works and how emotion works, etc., I mean, like Candace Pert, she’s done a whole entire book on what’s called the “Molecules of Emotion.” She has studied the emotional connection to the molecules that float all through our body.

By having a singular thought of anger that isn’t fully expressed, your body will immediately go into fight, flight, freeze, fun, whatever you wanna call it, immediately. What that does from a hormonal level will trigger your entire fight response in your body so you’ll get amped up because you’re ready to either run, fight, whatever you need to do to escape.

[00:10:30] V: If you don’t come out of that, which is like a natural tendency, if you don’t come out of that, and a lot of us don’t come out of that, your body stays in that natural fight mode. If you’re in constant tension, you’re immediately gonna likely down the road develop chronic pain, and that can come from a singular thought that is recycled over and over and over, from the playground when you’re seven years old all the way till you’re 50 years old until it’s interrupted.

[00:10:56] O’tion: So main thing, help your clients express. Find what that is. What was it? What’s the anchor? And help them actually just even begin to express themselves.

[00:11:08] Glenyce: If somebody came to you, let’s say that they’re in their 50s, they’ve got some chronic pain going on, are you questioning them? How do you get them to become aware of that moment of anger or the hiding it in from the iPod experience? How do you get them there?

[00:11:30] V: What happens with the process to take them through?

[00:11:33] O’tion: The rhythm, the rhythm.

[00:11:34] V: The rhythm, yeah. Basically, what would happen is this person would come in. Say, Glenyce, you come on in and you’re like, “I have nose pain.” I don’t know, whatever it is. We’ll go with nose pain just for shits and giggles. “My nose has been hurting for 10 years,” okay? So that’s your thing.

[00:11:49] V: You would come in and myself as a practitioner, I’d be like, “Okay, let’s talk about the nose pain.” And then I’m gonna ask you a question of, “Okay, where do you wanna go? What do you wanna feel?”

[00:11:58] V: You might say, “I wanna feel relieved of this. I wanna feel free of it, to be able to smell and sniff and do whatever I want with my nose without thinking about it.” Okay, so we’ve got a goal mechanism that we’re working towards.

[00:12:12] V: From there, we train our practitioners to use a very specific way to access these memories and these moments in time. We teach them this very specific way to pinpoint it to one age and one moment. From there, we also help them to carefully uncover all the emotions that are suspended in that moment.

[00:12:32] V: Let’s say that moment in time for you and this nose pain was connected to when you were seven years old. On the playground, you got punched in the face. Okay? Say you got punched in the face and you had these feelings of shock and overwhelm and confusion and disbelief and whatever it may be. Now, we have this suspended conglomerate of an experience, a moment in time and emotions that are trapped in the body that are now asking to be out.

[00:12:58] V: What the practitioner will do is carefully curate what’s called an “acknowledgement piece.” These are very specific to the person. They’re not the same for anybody ever. What that does is it helps the person, the client – you and your seven year old state with your nose hurting. It gives you this carefully curated moment for you to bring so much acknowledgement through your voice. We also teach somatic release processes – how to get it out of the body through specific types of movement.

[00:13:31] V: After that, what we do is we actually restore the body. We get all the gunk out of the subconscious minds. You don’t have to think about that anymore. You don’t have the cellular data in your body that’s getting triggered anymore, and then we move you towards your goal of where you want it to be, which is free and relieved from this nose pain.

[00:13:47] V: From there, we help you integrate that into your daily life so that you’re not just stuck in the freedom in the treatment room. You can actually go upon your life without being afraid of this re-triggering all over again.

[00:13:59] Glenyce: Wow. That must drastically decrease the amount of times a person needs to see a doctor or chiropractor or even a practitioner of this. It must change it and take away, I don’t know, that need for constant going over the problem type of thing.

[00:14:25] O’tion: It’s interesting because when you [V] were in school, V had one of the main teachers in acupuncture school said, “Heal your clients, but don’t heal them all the way because you need them to come back to pay your bills.” We talked about that…

[00:14:39] V: Right?!

[00:14:41] O’tion: We’re like, hold on a second!

[00:14:42] V: But then at the same time, they’re saying, “Make sure you do at least a 10-session protocol. At least 10 times they have to come back.”

[00:14:51] O’tion: And so with V, she really flipped this on its head when she started to do emotional release work with clients because you were having—people would drive, you know, Grand Prairie. This woman who had TMJ, migraines…

[00:15:06] V: Yeah, like, five hours one way.

[00:15:08] O’tion: … and resolve it in one session.

[00:15:09] V: I broke the paradigm, okay? We went from don’t heal them fully and don’t do it in less than 10 sessions to it being possible in 60 minutes or less.

[00:15:19] O’tion: It’s like, that’s the paradigm between the broke healer energy versus the… and that’s like scarcity and lack and all of that versus there are so many people out there, and if we can get them results in one, two, sure, maybe three, maybe even four sessions, let’s say four sessions, even that, isn’t that better because they’re gonna go out and tell everyone they know to come back? Whereas if they have to keep coming back to you, that’s not empowerment. That’s a little incongruent.

[00:15:52] Glenyce: It’s kinda the exact opposite of empowerment really.

[00:15:55] V: Yes. That would make this slogan Empowered Healers Academy very ineffective. It would not work well.

[00:16:04] O’tion: So that’s super interesting because that’s a lot of that archaic and outdated residue that’s even just in the healing industry in general. Even us, I don’t think we look like what you think a healer is supposed to look like, whatever that is. Yeah, right?

[00:16:21] V: Yeah.

[00:16:22] Glenyce: Oh, that’s awesome. That’s awesome. For the people, the practitioners out there that are considering this or looking at it or wondering about it, what would you say to them if they were concerned about it being a little bit weird for their clientele?

[00:16:42] Glenyce: Let’s say they’re acupuncturists and maybe they have a certain way of working and not all acupuncturists only work one way, but it’s very hands-on and so they maybe haven’t involved the emotional aspect. What would you say to somebody who’s kind of, “I’m not sure how to do that with my clientele”?

[00:17:01] V: That’s a really good question. I think first, there’s one thing that I wanna bring attention to. If you’re in the healing industry and you’re working with the body, you’re gonna have to, at some point, work with the emotional state because they’re so closely interconnected.

[00:17:18] V: If you’re that practitioner that’s like, “I want more, and I know my clients want more, and I know they’re seeking more but I don’t know how to give it to them,” if you are already asking those in the back of your mind somewhere, or you’re feeling that and you’re knowing that maybe your clients are responding to you and you have know it like, “Why are they having emotional releases?! I don’t know why this is happening!” If that’s already happening, all you need is the next step, to integrate that piece to understand how to support them and guide them all the way through the process.

[00:17:49] V: And so my first question is that if you have a judgment about it being weird, can you, for one moment, just take a look at it? It’s an extension of you just sitting right in front of you, so how can you actually lean into it? If you’ve been looking for a place to lean in and feel supported over six months, we got you. That’s the first thing.

[00:18:12] V: The second thing is really just trusting that. If there’s something weird about it and you’re like, “Ooh, I don’t know, that seems like really intense and advanced, and I’m not sure I can do that,” if you’re already asking those questions, you’re already partway there.

[00:18:24] O’tion: Okay, just a really interesting fact. The emotions and the physical body were only separated, I think there’s 300 and some years ago.

[00:18:37] V: Oh, yeah.

[00:18:38] O’tion: The Pope, who basically had…

[00:18:41] V: … control over the way the body was.

[00:18:45] O’tion: The Pope and the founding father of Western medicine made a turf deal where the Pope said, “You can dissect human bodies, but you are not permitted to go into the emotional or spiritual body.”

[00:18:59] O’tion: If you think about that, that’s really interesting, right? That’s where Western medicine…

[00:19:03] V: … disconnected.

[00:19:04] O’tion: Just like [neck slashing motion]. We’re still in that paradigm of it being weird. But if you think about it, we all have emotions and we all have a physical body, and they all are literally in this sweet little precious package. And 300 years ago is actually not that long. It’s actually not that long, so I think it’s also just that paradigm shift. It’s time. It’s time, yeah.

Also, I think people deeply want to be seen and want to be heard and want to talk about what happened or what could be deeper beneath the pain. I think people are actually a lot more receptive than maybe we think they might be.

[00:19:49] Glenyce: I agree, because people are really, especially I would say after the last couple years where we were kind of cut off for a long time and now it’s like, it’s time to really live and part of that is that wholeness. It’s us as a oneness. It’s not like you say, just cutting our body. It’s all of the pieces.

[00:20:08] Glenyce: I had another question as you were talking. Let me see if my memory can bring it back here. In terms of when they’re in the training, it sounds like, if I heard you correctly, they’re actually going through these sessions themselves. I love that. I guess that’s not a question, that’s a statement.

But I love that because it’s also, at least for me, I really learned by doing and being a part of it, and what that could really gift the people in their own practice when they have things come up and they’ve seen it or they’ve experienced it. That’s an amazing part of that. I’m sure it’s also part of the uncomfortableness for some people as they’re looking at your program. They’re kind of like, “Oh dear, what’s going to occur?”

[00:21:01] Glenyce: But also, I was reading some of those testimonials. Guys, at least go to the page and check it out because to read what some people have really chosen with this and what it’s created to their life, I mean, wow. Just wow.

[00:21:19] O’tion: Thank you for saying that because that is a really important piece, because that’s what takes it from being informational to transformational, and that’s such an important piece to us.

We have these immersion sessions where it also creates lifelong friendships. The friendships that have been created where if there’s one thing we’ve learned, it’s that everyone feels like they’re alone with what they’re experiencing. And yet you bring everyone into a room and it’s like, “Hey, who feels this way?” “Me, me, me, me, me, me, me!” It’s like, we all feel alone, and yet we all feel relatively the same way.

For a lot of our practitioners who have felt like the black sheep or the weird one or people just don’t get them, those sessions are so beautiful as well because you create lifelong bonds with each other while receiving and gifting.

[00:22:09] O’tion: Let’s just talk about some of the things that have happened. One gal had 10 years of chronic eye infections resolved in a student session.

[00:22:17] V: I literally watched it happen before my eyes. I watched this session happen and I was like, “Shit, they’re doing it!”

[00:22:24] O’tion: Yeah. She used to have to wear sunglasses inside if it was so sunny out, and that was resolved in a student session.

[00:22:31] O’tion: One girl, she’s a weightlifter, Olympic weightlifter, in class. Left shoulder pain. She couldn’t lift above her head. Next day, same thing.

[00:22:40] V: After the practice session next day, she was like, “Oh my God, you guys.”

[00:22:43] O’tion: All the pain’s gone.

[00:22:44] V: It’s gone.

[00:22:45] O’tion: A woman with nine years of sciatica pain nothing could resolve. It was due to when she was five years old and her parents sent her to a pretty scary situation and it was locked in her body. Same thing, resolved on the first day of class and never came back. It’s so cool…

[00:23:03] V: It’s so cool.

[00:23:04] O’tion: … what we are doing. Even just within the title of what we were talking about today, it’s so much more than just resolving chronic pain. It’s about coming into our fullest expression as practitioners, as humans, as healers, as everything that we are meant to be.

[00:23:22] V: When I think about even, we’ll go with my journey as a practitioner. The number one thing that I always wanted was confidence. I wanna feel confident in what I’m doing. Let the fear go away. What required that to happen was experience.

A lot of people will ask us, “I don’t know if I can do that. Can I do that?” Because our step-by-step system is so easy to follow, the experiential portion of the program gives that. It gives that confidence because they’ve done it so many times before they actually go out into the world and work on complete strangers. It’s that confidence piece that also just feels so fucking good to have, you know, instead of being afraid of what you’re capable of.

[00:24:04] O’tion: We were laughing today because it used to be a 6-week course. Our practitioners who did it…

[00:24:12] V: They’re very good.

[00:24:13] O’tion: … they’re crushing it. They’re still doing it. But the 6 months really creates more of that spaciousness, so it’s not like fire hose. Okay, get out there. We’re really with you for an extended period. It’s integrated.

[00:24:26] Glenyce: That’s amazing. That’s amazing. Before we finish up, I want to just ask a question. V, did you win an award?

[00:24:35] V: Did I win an award? Like the Distinguished Alumni Award?

[00:24:38] Glenyce: Uh, yeah!

[00:24:40] V: I was nominated for it. However, I did not win because, well… I don’t know the official reason, but I’m going to guess that I ruffled some feathers in my industry saying that maybe I was doing too much of emotional work, which I would disagree with. However, I was nominated and the recommendation letters were pretty fucking cool to read, I’ll have to say that.

[00:25:03] Glenyce: That’s amazing. I apologize. I thought that you had won it. But also, yes, when you are changing it — sessions are taking, well, one, people actually get relief and it goes away in any period of time, let alone a very drastic period of time, short period of time, I could see there’s gonna be some people in the industry that say, “Uh, no.”

[00:25:28] V: Naturally, right?

[00:25:29] O’tion: It was that thought of for you it was like, “Do I contract or do I…”

[00:25:35] V: Do I blow up?! The answer was bigger.

[00:25:42] Glenyce: Good, good. I love that. I love that so much. Oh gosh. Thank you guys so much for joining me and sharing all of this. I wonder what might be possible for even just the people listening that are curious about it, to go find the practitioners. Even if you’re just open to consider that whatever that thing is that possibly, it’s not what Dr. Google tells you. It’s maybe something else that occurred.

For those that do have healing practices and such, do check out the program. Again, we’ll have the link above or below. Anybody who does join using my link will get a special offer.

[00:26:22] Glenyce: That’s not quite ready yet, but some of you know that I’m opening up a Shopify store here shortly and so you will get a—thank you, thank you, thank you—$50 credit in my store that you will get as soon as it’s available, probably by February 1st is kind of our target at this point. Just a little extra bonus for you to check it out and join if it feels fun for you.

[00:26:45] Glenyce: These two, I cannot highly recommend enough. I have just adored them for so many years. So, so grateful to know them and to get to play with them when I get to play with them. Hopefully, we’ll see them out on the BC coast sometime soon when there’s whales in the area.

[00:27:03] O’tion: Thank you so much for having us, Glenyce.

[00:27:06] Glenyce: Oh, thank you. All right, guys. Have a great rest of your week and I look forward to chatting again next week.
