What’s required to change this?

We can be very aware of other people to the point that we might take on whatever they’re going through as ours. And when it doesn’t work out for us, down we go the rabbit hole of judging ourselves. That, my sweet friends, is where the problem starts. If you’ve ever found yourself in that situation, tune in to this episode as I share some magic tricks and tips to get you out of the wrongness and all that insanity.

[00:00:00] Is this cold really mine? Welcome to Tools to Create a Better Life with myself, Glenyce Hughes. Thank you so much for being here. I’m so incredibly grateful for each and every one of you.

[00:00:12] If you’re watching this on video, I am in a swimming pool. I’ll be honest though, it’s cold. I know I always talked about cold pools, I loved my pool cold. Maybe it’s been a while since I’ve been in one, I’m not sure, but this one is really cold. But for the sake of the video, I’m gonna hang out in here.

[00:00:31] Plus, it is very nice out here. I am in Sandy Hill, Georgia which is, I would say, maybe a suburb of Atlanta, uh, but very close to Atlanta, Georgia. I have never been to Georgia before. It’s beautiful. Oh my gosh.

[00:00:44] We’ve got two sweet little puppies here and a kitty, and the kitty has a GPS tracker so it’s so cool to be able to see exactly where he is when he’s out gallivanting.

[00:00:55] So, is this cold really mine? I have had a cold this past week and as you may know, the last few weeks I’ve been talking about different tools that I’ve shared over the years that I’m maybe looking at a little bit differently now. I wouldn’t say that this is new. This isn’t new for me to look at this tool differently. This is something that I’ve always, been aware of, I would say, with this tool.

[00:01:21] And so, the concept is that we are aware of the things that are going on within our body and they’re possibly not ours, meaning we’re taking them on where maybe I was aware of somebody else’s cold, and I took it on. I’m not saying that that’s not possible.

[00:01:39] The reason that I’m sharing maybe the way that I see things now differently than I used to or have talked about in the past is really for you to look at these things for yourself. This is not about saying my way is the right way and the other way is the wrong way. That is not what this is about at all. This is just an invitation to go into what you may know to be true for you or to look at things that maybe you never considered before.

[00:02:10] This tool, you can use in lots of different ways, of course. Physical stuff – yes. Also, like, mental and emotional stuff.

[00:02:18] I would say for myself personally, let’s say I’m angry for no reason. I just wake up cranky or something like that, then the tool of “Who does this belong to? Return to sender with consciousness,” absolutely. That is a great tool for me in those situations.

[00:02:36] But for physical things, I just haven’t had the same, I’m gonna say, success with that. I find, especially in the years of facilitating people and working with people, a lot of times, there’s more to it.

[00:02:52] We maybe really simplify – this oversimplification that I’ve talked about before. We oversimplify it. We go, “Okay, well, I woke up with a cold. I’m just gonna return to sender with consciousness and be done with it.”

[00:03:07] And then when it doesn’t go away, that’s when the problem starts because then we’re judging ourselves. We’re in the wrongness of us. How did I do that wrong? What [or] how did I say it wrong? Am I not actually returning it to sender properly?

[00:03:21] We go into all this insanity instead of just recognizing that possibly, yeah, maybe you were aware of it and maybe you did take it on, and maybe there is something more with the changing of it. Maybe there’s other action that’s required. Maybe your body — in my case, maybe my body was just saying, “Hey, can we just have a little rest please?”

[00:03:44] And with other things, I’ve seen people with, say, extra weight, as I’ve talked about over the years with myself, just to oversimplify by saying, “I shall return it to sender with consciousness and it will go away.” [It] hasn’t been my experience. It really hasn’t.

[00:04:02] Oh, there’s so many leaves falling. I’m not sure if you guys can see any of them. There’s many in the pool with me now.

[00:04:08] And so this idea that that’s it is what can really trip us up because then, again, as I said, we go into the wrongness. We try to figure out how we need to say it right, the right way so it works, and just all of this insanity, instead of just recognizing that, yeah, okay, if that tool — if you’re like, “Okay, you know what? I know that I’ve picked up somebody else’s cold or I’ve picked up somebody else’s cranky or whatever it is, then, okay, what’s actually required to change it?”

[00:04:41] Now, a cold might be a little bit different than cranky. Cranky you can shift, possibly, fairly quickly. [It] doesn’t mean you always can, but possibly. A cold may not be.

[00:04:53] I have never experienced one person that I’ve ever seen use this tool be able to shift a physical thing like cold or flu or diabetes or cancer or heart problems or anything like that in an instant. Now, I don’t want to say that’s not possible because I live in the world of true possibilities, and it often isn’t the way that it shows up. There may be something else.

[00:05:21] I’ve worked with a lot of people with terminal illnesses. Maybe “terminal” is not the right word. Potentially terminal, let’s say. Those people often have an awareness of, “Wow, you know what? When I wasn’t sick, there was all of this maybe significance put on my work or my kids” or whatever. By getting sick, they had more information and they started looking at their life differently, and they shifted things and changed things. They received more from that illness in a way that wasn’t necessarily about returning it to sender.

[00:06:04] Again, I just really want to get us — I guess that would be my ask for all of us is to really step away from the oversimplification. If you’ve watched my past few videos, I believe that’s probably the word that I’ve used more than any other word is this idea of oversimplification with it all.

[00:06:26] If you’ve had something physical, or maybe even mental or emotional, that didn’t shift with that, and you’ve spent time in the judgment of you because it didn’t shift, what you might want to look at, as I throw the leaves around, is what actions required to change that thing? It possibly isn’t just one action. There’s possibly many actions for you to take to really start and shift and change it.

[00:06:56] For myself with the cold, it wasn’t so much of how can I make it go away. Well, in a way I guess, it was how can I make the symptoms go away because I I had some fun things planned this week in Chicago.

[00:07:12] As some of you might know, I was at a Mastermind for Shopify this week. I didn’t want to be offensive to other people with sneezing and snotting all over. You know, that sort of thing. But also, I wanted to be able to be present with all the fun activities we had with that. That’s what I looked at – what was required to shift the symptoms that would have created more of a distraction, let’s say.

[00:07:44] For me, that was just over the counter medication. It was quite simple with regards to that. That was an action that I took, and I took it a few times a day. Of course I got as much rest as I could in between and the water. All the other pieces to it, of course. For me with the cold, I mean, fairly simple. I took some over the counter medication.

[00:08:07] With other things, there are other possibilities with that. If you’ve got, whatever it is, maybe diabetes or heart disease or depression or those sorts of things, the other actions, of course, is medical. I know often we have this idea that medical is wrong and not medical is right. What if we don’t?

[00:08:30] Now, some of you know my background is psychiatric nursing. I took a couple of years training and I see how the two go together. Now, I would never want to do a hundred percent medical. If I got colds all the time, then yeah, I would maybe look at that a little bit more. But with a one off cold — that’s, I think, the first one since a year ago — I’m just going to take some over the counter medication and carry on with life.

[00:08:59] But with other things, it’s really just getting that energy of what else is required to change it. Looking at what I would call “the logical and the woo,” a mix of logic and woo.

[00:09:15] If you’ve got heart things going on, I mean if it was me, then I would definitely be working with doctors who know that specialty. And then also, what else? Maybe your body loves acupuncture or you love going to reflexology or different things like that. Then mixing the two together from that place of what is it going to take to change this? What is actually required?

[00:09:43] Now yes, recognizing that we can absolutely — at least this is my take on it, we absolutely are aware of other people’s stuff. We absolutely can take on their pain and suffering and mental, emotional, all of that. To change it, [there] may be more required. Let’s not oversimplify anymore. Let’s look at what’s actually required to change it so that you can be taking action.

[00:10:10] In my experience, anytime we’re taking action to change something, that’s where the magic is. It’s when we’re not taking the action to change it, that’s where we have so much more room for the judgment, the wrongness, the doubt, all of that insanity.

What About Manifestation?

What About Manifestation?

What does it actually take?

When we hear the word “manifest,” we often think about sitting around, wishing for something we would like and — poof! The thing just magically shows up. It’s possible, but we can’t always be that lucky, sweet friends. Tune in to this week’s episode as we talk about manifestation and what it truly takes to “manifest” and “actualize” everything we desire.

[00:00:00] What about manifestation? Welcome to Tools to Create a Better Life with myself, Glenyce Hughes. I have been doing podcasts — I think this is my third podcast — with things that I know for sure. Things that are true for me. This is not a show so that you change your way. You get to look at things for you. This is what these shows are about, really – to invite you to look at what’s true for you.

[00:00:24] If you’re watching the video, and even if you’re listening to the audio, you might hear them. These are the Minnehaha Falls in Minneapolis. Yeah, we’re seeing all sorts of cool things on our adventures. You can follow along the adventures on basically my Facebook page, my personal one. Sometimes, I put things on the business one or my Instagram. I’ve got @glenycehughes, I also have @toolstocreateabetterlife. Come and play.

[00:00:51] So, what about manifestations? You’ve probably heard me — if you’ve been around, you’ve heard me talk for years about changing the word “manifestation’ to the word “actualize” based on the meaning of the word if you were to look up the definition.

[00:01:07] Now, I have to say for myself personally, I do love the energy of the word “manifestation.” I really love that. I’ve even had programs over the years that I’ve used the word “manifestation.” I have one that has been, I think I’ve had it for a few years now. It’s called “Manifest Your Money Goal Toolkit.” There’s a whole bunch of different products and ways to assist you to manifest your money goal.

[00:01:31] I love the word. For me, I’m actually going back to that word. I will still use the word “actualize.” I get the energy of that also, but I love the word “manifest.”

[00:01:44] Now, I want to talk about that for a moment. A lot of times with manifest or manifestation, what people are doing is something that we call “magical thinking.” That is not what I’m talking about when I talk about manifestation. It’s really, to me, important to recognize that manifestation is, to me, it’s a couple things. It’s choosing. It’s taking action. It’s acknowledging what is.

[00:02:14] If that sounds interesting to you, you might want to listen to the show about… gosh, what is it titled? I don’t recall. It was last week that I did it. We’ll put a link to it above or below so that you can check it out where I talked about choice. That’s what it is. It’s about choice and it’ll assist you more with that.

[00:02:34] From the energy of manifestation, it really is this space of all the things. It’s not the, “I’m going to sit on the couch and ask for money and it’s going to show up.” Now, some people may be able to do that. That’s awesome. But for the rest of us, there’s action that’s involved.

[00:02:51] For those people like myself, I can actually wake up to money in my bank account, and there was action to take to create that. I had to create the things to sell. I had to create some sort of, in a sense, a presence so that people could see my stuff and get on, say, my email list or see me on social media – all of those things. Yes, we could say we could make money while we sleep, but also, there was action involved.

[00:03:17] When you look at manifest or actualization or whatever you want to call it, it doesn’t matter. You want to look at it from what it actually takes. No more of the magical thinking, no more of the, “I’m just going to say these affirmations,” or “I’m just going to run these clearings,” “I’m just going to do this thing,” or “I’m just going to sit on my couch.” No, stop it. Now, what? What’s required? What is the action that’s required? Yeah, yeah.

[00:03:50] Often when you hear people say, “Oh, I manifested a red sports car,” that’s been my example for years. It’s a red sports car. I don’t have a desire for a red sports car, but anyway, I’ve talked about it for years. “I’m going to manifest a red sports car,” and then they have a red sports car.

[00:04:05] It often is this idea that, “Wow, they asked for it. They sat on the couch and thought about it and that’s how it showed up.” And yet, if you were to ask those people, ‘What was actually required?” Probably some steps, definitely some action. Maybe it just took from going to the car dealer and checking it out, or the bank to get a loan, or whatever it is. There was still action.

[00:04:31] This magical thinking is where I see so many of us, because I’ve done it myself, time and time again, of really putting my energy into the idea that it will show up without me doing anything and that’s how I prove I’m magical. No, guys. No. Please stop that. Please stop that. You be magic. You don’t need to prove it at all. You just be it.

[00:04:59] Now, if you’d like to manifest some things, then what’s required? What are the steps? A mix of that is also with being truthful of what is. You know?

[00:05:10] Again, I’m going to refer you to my radio show that I did last week about choice. I talk in there about acknowledging what is because it’s really easy to say, “Oh, you just ask for more money, and then you think about more money, and then more money shows up.” No. For many, many, many people on the planet, that’s not it. There is a level of honesty of what is and what’s required.

[00:05:38] I’m not saying that they can’t have money. That’s not what I’m saying at all. There may be just the honouring of what is, the acknowledgement of what is, and looking at what other choices might be required for them to manifest what they’re asking for.

[00:05:51] When you’re watching social media and you’re maybe watching people talk about what they manifested and how easy it was and how magical it was, really get present with that for yourself. Check in how much you might be adding a story to that, or how much they’ve added a story to it.

[00:06:14] I know, right? We want to believe that people can sit and wish for a red sports car and have it show up in their driveway. That’s a really cool idea. And yet, what is required? I’ll tell you what. You’re going to get so much more of what you’re asking for when you get real with what is, when you get present with what is, and when you look at what’s actually required for you to, to actualize that.

[00:06:46] For me, Hubby and I — I was going to say Rodney, oh my gosh, his real name. So, Hubby — Rodney — and I are in the USA. We’re both Canadians, rodney’s also British. We can actually get into the US very easily. It took three minutes at the border. They had a couple of questions. Did we have fruit with us? I don’t even know what else they asked but it was very basic. For us coming here to hang out for three months, that was total ease for us. That’s not the way it is for everybody.

[00:07:20] This is what I talk about when I talk about acknowledging what is. There’s countries that maybe can’t even get into the US. I don’t have enough information about this, I’m just guessing. There’s countries that would require visas or vice versa, coming to or going to Canada, since I’m not there now. For a lot of people, there’s a lot of things.

[00:07:37] So, let’s acknowledge what is. Let’s ask for what we would like. Let’s look at what the choices are that are required to actualize that, to manifest that. It all brings me back to acknowledging what is for you, really getting present with what is for you, what is true for you.

[00:07:58] There’s been a lot of people in my classes over the years, when I talked about the word “manifest” and start using “actualize,” they would say, “Hey, you know what? I really liked the word ‘manifest.'” I’m so grateful that people were willing and are willing, and I’m willing to really look at what is for ourselves.

[00:08:16] I mean, this can relate to anything, honestly. This doesn’t have to be just about a word. This can be so many different areas of our life and our living that we’re pretending, or we’re trying to do it a certain way, or we’re trying to do it the right way. Oh my gosh, let’s get over that, my sweet friends. Let’s get back into this space of, “What is our way? What actually works for us? What is true for us?”

[00:08:40] As I said, the word “manifest” has such yummy energies to me. I never really stopped using it. I did a little bit. Now, for me… that’s something I’m aware of now for me. What might that be for you? It may not be words. It might be things you choose or whatever it is. But just start with what is true for you? What is your space of what you know to be true? And how can you be that on the planet?

[00:09:12] As I’ve been putting these shows out there, I’ve got so much feedback about how many people are just so grateful for me sharing what is true for me. Not from the place of now they know what’s true for them, but it gets them looking at it or they’ve already knew it, but maybe they weren’t really putting words to it. They weren’t articulating it. Now, they’ve got that more space to do that.

[00:09:37] It’s a different space of being. It’s truly being us. It’s truly being us, knowing what is true for us, without the idea that somebody or something knows more than us, knows better than us, has more awareness of us for us. Some people have more information in certain areas, of course. I would never pretend to be a doctor. That would be ridiculous. They have more information, but they don’t know my body more than I know my body. Right?

[00:10:08] If you look at that, look at maybe over the years, if you have examples in your life of where you’ve given up your power, where you’ve handed over what you knew because of, whatever, somebody knew better, somebody said they knew better, you put somebody on a pedestal. That’s a big one for so many of us, you know?

[00:10:26] Somebody does have more information, so instead of just going, “Wow, they have more information. Cool,” we go, “Wow, they have more information. They must know everything! They must be brilliant! They must…” blah, blah, blah, instead of like, “Okay, they have more information. What do I know here? What’s true for me here?”

[00:10:44] The thing that I know for sure, and this is kind of funny, is the older I get — and I don’t mean that as derogatory. I just mean the older I get, the more that I know that what I know for me doesn’t have to fit for anybody else. It doesn’t have to make sense for anybody else.

[00:11:03] There would have been a time, I mean, that I would have never even been willing to have that conversation or awareness with myself. I’ve been so focused on what other people needed or wanted or believed and what was true for them, rather than, “Hey, what is it for me? What do I know for me with that?” They’re totally different states. Yeah.

[00:11:23] So, have a great week, sweet friends. I look forward to chatting again next week.

Is it Actually Choice that Creates?

Is it Actually Choice that Creates?

There’s more to choice and choosing than that.

Is choice really the be-all and end-all… or is there something more that you should be considering? This week, we will discuss another one of the things that I’ve been diving deeper into recently: choice. Is it really enough to create and actualize anything we desire? Tune in to this episode if this is something you’d also like to be looking more into.

[00:00:00] So, is it really choice? Welcome to Tools to Create a Better Life with myself, Glenyce Hughes. Thank you so much for being here. I am so incredibly grateful for each and every one of you.

[00:00:13] We are currently in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It’s beautiful here, guys. By beautiful, I mean, like, beautiful, but also hot. It’s October 1st today and it’s going to be 31 degrees Celsius. I have no idea what that is in Fahrenheit but let me tell you, it’s hot and it’s muggy. Humidity. Holy!

[00:00:32] Anyway, we are spending a week and a bit with a cute little kitty named Robot. She may make herself known as she passes by. She’s very loud. She is what we might call a “senior kitty,” and her meowing is very similar to a kitty that we had years and years ago as he got older. So, you may hear her.

[00:00:55] All right. Is choice the thing? Is it really what is stopping you from having and being and doing and creating everything you desire? Yes and no.

[00:01:08] Last week’s radio show, I talked about what I know for sure for myself in terms of just a different way of seeing things now, being aware of things now. This is another one of those topics.

[00:01:21] I’ve talked a lot about choice over the years, and I want to talk about it in a much different way because there’s a term — and I actually talked about it on a radio show a number of, probably, months ago now, I don’t recall — oversimplification. This is something that I would say that I’ve done with the content that I’ve put out there, especially around choice.

[00:01:48] It’s very easy for me to say as a white woman that I have the choice to live as we do, that I can choose this lifestyle. We’re basically traveling around. Right now, the US. It will be the world in time to come. Right now, it’s through the US, and pet and house sitting. That’s a relatively easy choice for me.

[00:02:15] But when we talk about choice – and choice being the thing that once we choose it, we’ll create it or we’ll have it or we’ll be it, that’s very oversimplified because there’s a lot of people who don’t actually have the same choices that I do. When I talk about it as, “It’s just a choice,” that is very unkind and cruel and mean if we’re looking at it from a broader view.

[00:02:43] Now, I say that, and I also want to say no one is a victim. I’m not saying that “I have choice because I’m a white woman and if you’re not a white woman, you don’t.” That’s not what I’m saying, okay? Please know this.

[00:02:54] I really just want to give a deeper energetic connection to this because I know from the clients I work with, from my own experience, from different things that I’ve seen around the world, when we see something as, “It’s just a choice, and I don’t have it so I didn’t choose it so I’m wrong,” please stop doing that to yourself. There’s so many other factors.

[00:03:20] Now, a great question – a question that I love to ask myself is “What could I choose to actualize this, manifest this, have this, be this, or do this?” Absolutely, I love that question because it can give you more awareness.

[00:03:34] But to generally say that every person on the planet could choose what I’m choosing, or what you’re choosing, or what we see, say, social media influencers are choosing, that’s not enough information. What that does is creates this separation. It creates this, “I’m choosing it and it’s not showing up so I must be wrong.”

[00:03:58] If we truly desire… well, I truly desire. Let me rephrase that. I truly desire to live on a planet where nobody plays with wrongness. Nobody distracts themselves with wrongness. Everyone is valued for who they are and what they bring to the table. Those differences are celebrated. Nobody is wrong and nobody is wrong in what they’re choosing or what they’re experiencing.

[00:04:36] That’s really what I desire to create more on the planet. When I say, “Oh, it’s just a choice,” that actually doesn’t create what I say I would like to see on the planet.

[00:04:48] What you might want to look at, if this resonates with you at all, and chances are if you’re still here, there’s something for you, is that start looking at that for yourself, and not having this general idea that it’s just choice that’s missing because there’s a lot of things.

[00:05:05] There’s so many factors. There’s a lot of horrificness going on the planet. To say to those people that it’s just a choice, no, absolutely not. What if we start taking some depth to that?

[00:05:21] And how can you apply this? This is where you look at every time you say to yourself, “Oh well, that was just a choice. Why am I not choosing it? How come I chose wrong?,” stop. Stop that. You could ask, “Okay, what’s really going on? What’s really going on here?”

[00:05:40] Using some of the things that we hear about on the planet, there are men and women in similar roles and women are getting paid less. To say to yourself, “Oh well, I’m just not choosing to be paid more,” that’s not fair. That’s not true.

[00:05:57] It’s hard to put to words but you get the idea of that. It’s like looking, “What is really going on here? Wow, okay. There’s sexism here. Okay, so what’s required to change that?” We take it deeper.

[00:06:10] Again, we’re not going into victim. We’re not saying, “Well, I’m a woman and that’s just the way it is,” or all the ways that men are… [sexist]? I don’t know how to say that. All the ways that men are treated poorly because they’re men, or women because they’re women, or races because of the race they are, or all the things.

[00:06:31] Let’s go deeper than that. Let’s look at it. Let’s acknowledge what is, and then let’s get into question. “What is it going to take to change that?”

[00:06:39] Let’s say that was you. Let’s say you’re in a position and you’re getting paid less than somebody else doing similar. You’re aware that it is sexism in this case. So, what’s required?

[00:06:51] That might be multiple things. It might be talking to a lawyer. It might be talking to HR in the company. It might be a bazillion things. That’s where we want to look at that. Those are still choices.

[00:07:03] When I said earlier it’s yes and no – choice? Yes and no. Those are still choices. We can say absolutely, choice. And we don’t want to do the generalization of choice because that’s where it gets so unkind to ourselves, even when we say stuff like, “Why am I not choosing it? What’s wrong with me that I’m not choosing it?”

[00:07:26] I also have this other awareness. Again, this is for me. This is my awareness. You do with it what you would like.

[00:07:35] The universe, which includes me, always has my back. If I’m asking for something and I am making the choices towards it and it’s not showing up, I know there’s something else there. I maybe don’t know what it is, but I know.

[00:07:54] I’ll give you an example. This is such a silly example compared to what I’m talking about.

[00:07:59] We were on our way to Minneapolis from my family, my parents’ home in Turtleford, Saskatchewan, and we had big plans. Really big plans.

[00:08:12] Our car actually needed a part. As we were driving, I got an engine light. Well, this car is fairly new. It’s a year old, never had a problem. The three Audis before that, I have never had a light come on. There’s never been anything other than the regular services that they go to, but other [than that], nothing.

[00:08:33] We ended up in Regina, Saskatchewan for two nights. We were gonna spend ten minutes. We ended up there two nights waiting for this part.

[00:08:44] I know that I could look at that and I could say, “What did I choose?” and “What’s wrong with me?” and kind of go down the rabbit hole of, “Is this a sign?” I did do that a little bit, I’ll be honest. I was like, “What’s happening?” because there’d been multiple other delays, so this was just really interesting.

[00:09:01] Anyway, yeah. I know that the universe always has my back. For whatever we were required to be in Regina for or not on the road when we would have been on the road – whatever it was, I know that.

[00:09:15] I don’t need to go down that rabbit hole of “What did I choose wrong? What’s my points of views?” I don’t have to do any of that. I can just be present in the moment of, “This is what is.”

[00:09:27] We looked at other options. We looked at what else we could choose. We looked at renting a car one way and getting here, and then Hubby waiting in Regina. We looked at flights. We looked at all the things and none of them were it.

[00:09:45] What was it was just to stay in Regina, Saskatchewan for two nights while the car got fixed and, if you saw my Facebook post, eat sourdough doughnuts. If you haven’t done that, do that. Thank me later. I just want to give you an example of that.

[00:10:02] If we go, again, beyond the choosing of it, if you know you are choosing towards it and you’re taking the action and you’re acknowledging what is, we’re not using the generalization of it’s just a choice and you’re wrong if you don’t have it, then also look at if it’s still not showing up. Okay. So, is this a gift? Is it actually a gift to not show up? I know we don’t often like to think about it like that and sometimes, I wonder.

[00:10:28] Now, I also say that, but I don’t want to go into the place of “bypassing.” This is a term that’s kind of hot right now – “spiritual bypassing” where we just go, “Oh well. You know what? This is better. There’s something good in this.” I was still frustrated. Believe me, I’m still frustrated. I still voiced it. I still allowed myself to experience it where, you know, days later, it’s a lot easier for me to talk to.

[00:10:54] There’s actually people in Regina that I would have reached out to just to hang out with but honestly, I just wasn’t in that space. I allowed myself to be in that space, but also knowing that the universe has my back. There’s this dance, and this whole other piece to me of looking at choice – a much deeper version.

[00:11:18] When you’re tempted to go into the wrongness of you, of choices, not choosing, or all the things of, “It’s just a choice,” take it deeper. Be kind to yourself. Look at it through the space of “What if there’s more? If we didn’t oversimplify choice, what if there’s more?”

[00:11:44] That might be more choices. Like I say with that, you know, using the example of sexism, let’s be honest with what is. Okay, this is what’s going on. All right, so then we go in what are those choices then if that’s what’s going on rather than going into, “I’m wrong, I’m bad [that] I’m not choosing it.”

[00:12:01] As I said on last week’s show, this is kind of a series without being a series of all the things that I’m looking at differently, all the things that I know to be true for me. If that invites you to something greater, if that invites you to look at what’s true for you more, I’m so grateful.

[00:12:21] Sessions are still on sale, sweet friends. Link is above or below. If you don’t see a link, reach out and I will get it for you. Have a great rest of your week. I look forward to chatting again next week.

[00:00:00] What is actually true for you? Welcome to Tools to Create a Better Life with myself, Glenyce Hughes. Thank you so much for being here. I’m so incredibly grateful for each and every one of you.

[00:00:12] First off, if you’re watching the video, I am somewhere called the “Crooked Bush” in Saskatchewan. Maybe half an hour or so from North Battleford. It’s super cool. If you’re not watching the video, you may want to go find the video on YouTube or various places on Facebook and Instagram and all the things. We’ll put more video of other places around, like other trees, ’cause it’s hard to get it all in the video. It’s just so cool.

[00:00:42] So, that’s first. Second, Hubby and I are finally on our way to the USA! Oh my goodness, it has been a September. Let me tell ya, it has been a September.

[00:00:54] First off, I did a radio show a couple weeks ago about a loved one in the hospital. That was my dad, and he is doing so much better. He has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s, which is something we suspected for a while now.

[00:01:08] His stay in the hospital got him to a neurologist, which we were waiting for, and the medication is working like magic. Oh my goodness. So, so, so grateful. He’s doing better. He’s at home now. I spent a couple weeks with him in Saskatoon at the hospital.

[00:01:26] And then, Rodney and I spent — Hubby and I spent, I think, the last week or so at their house in Turtleford, Saskatchewan. Now, we are on our way. Oh my goodness. We’re so excited. First off, Minneapolis, where we’ve got a 10-day kitty sit. Yep, there we go. I can hardly wait.

[00:01:46] Anyway, what is actually true for you?

This is something, and as many of you know, many of you listen to, I’ve got so much support and kindness for my choice to no longer be a Certified Facilitator with Access Consciousness. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I cannot put words to the gratitude that I have for each and every one of you reaching out and… thank you. Just thank you.

[00:02:10] What I have been looking at this past year is what is actually true for me. What is actually true for me? Of all the things that I’ve been saying for years and years and years — and even before studying with Access. I’ve studied lots of different modalities. I’ve taken lots of different classes. It’s really time for me to look at what is actually true for me.

[00:02:32] One of the big ones that I would say — and I don’t have all the words for it guys, so please know that I’m still finding my way through this. One of the big ones that I really had to look at is your point of view creates your reality.

[00:02:50] Now, I’m not saying it’s not true for me. I’m just really curious about it because there’s been a lot of times where I had a certain point of view, and it didn’t turn out that way. It made me really look at and get curious with, is it that? Is that what creates our reality? Hmm. Or… Is it more of an energetic?

[00:03:17] Is there a difference between a point of view and an energetic?

To me, there actually is. Because I could have the point of view that money is easy, but energetically, I could also have what I’ve termed the “familiar energy” that money is a struggle.

[00:03:38] For me, and I keep saying for me ’cause I really want you to look at this for yourself. I’m not saying you should believe everything I say. You’ve really got to look at what you know to be true.

[00:03:49] This is a process, guys. In this specific arena in terms of no longer choosing to be a CF, it’s been a year of really looking at things. But even before that, I was always looking at things. I was always curious. Some of those things, I just didn’t look at that close, and this is one of them.

[00:04:08] So, your point of view creates your reality, and I would go more so. Your energy creates your reality. That’s what’s true for me. That’s what’s true for me. Gonna say it again.

[00:04:21] For some people, those might be the same thing — point of view and energy might be the same thing. For me, they’re drastically different. My energy, always. Yes, absolutely. I know what I’m creating with my energy. I know it. I know if I’m in that space of “everything’s horrible and awful, and this is the worst thing.” I know that I’m going to have way more of those experiences. I know I’m creating more of that.

[00:04:48] It isn’t to me that I have to spend a lot of time clearing. This has been a big change over the last year for me in that I had to really get honest with that clearing with me, putting my energy into looking at the point of view, clearing the point of view, finding another point of view to clear the point of view, which was I was often in that state of clearing.

[00:05:14] There’s nothing wrong with clearing. It’s just that often, it’s a distraction in my experience. For me. So I started looking at that as if I didn’t put the energy into clearing and I put it into choosing a different energy, I could change things like that. You can’t hear me snap my fingers, but like that.

[00:05:37] It’s like, boom. As soon as I recognized I was in that space, and recognized that that wasn’t the space I’d like to be in, change it. Now, I’ve got the speed of space. Now, things are changing. I’m able to shift things.

[00:05:53] Again, especially the September, for the most part, in the hospital in Saskatoon, really recognizing when I was going down into all the things you can imagine, all the things, because for a while there, it was… yeah, it was.

[00:06:11] Looking at that, being aware of that, not overriding it, I think nowadays a lot of times people call it “bypassing” it, not pretending it wasn’t there, but also recognizing that my energy is going to create more of that.

[00:06:25] Now, could my energy create more illness for my dad? No, that’s not what I mean at all, but my energy could certainly create my experience with that. It could create more drama trauma with that.

[00:06:39] Even in last week’s radio show when I talked about why I chose not to renew as a CF, it really is that. It’s really the energy of it. Yes, I’m say-it-like-it-is, be honest about it, but not go into the drama-trauma, the upset, the intrigue, the all of that because I’m going to create more of that in my life and I’m so not interested in that anymore. I’m so not interested.

[00:07:05] What’s beyond this distraction of clearing? Oh my gosh, let me tell you. For me, it’s freaking magical. I could probably do 16 radio shows on the magic that we created this past month with all the things that showed up. Oh my gosh, just amazing. Anyway, it’s amazing. Let me tell you, it’s amazing.

[00:07:28] Again, talking about it from what’s true for me, I was actually going to do this as kind of “What’s New” new type of series or “Where am I at Now” type of series, but it probably isn’t the best SEO for a radio show.

[00:07:45] So I will be talking each week though about the things that I’m looking at differently, about the way that I’m being differently, about the way that I’ve maybe taken some things that I’ve learned in the past or talked about in the past or thought were true in the past that I’ve really dissected for me. That’s what this is all about and this was probably one of the biggest ones.

[00:08:06] If you’ve been around for a while, you know one of my biggest tools that I talk about more than any other tool from Access Consciousness is the “interesting point of view” tool. And so, I really had to look at that because then I’m like, if I’m not completely on board with “your point of view creates your reality,” how then, for me, does “interesting point of view, I have that point of view” work so well?

[00:08:31] When I looked at that, it was like, it is an energetic change. When I’m repeating that over and over, I’m energetically shifting it. It could be probably any sort of shift of that energy, whatever you want to use.

[00:08:50] That’s the other thing that I want to talk about is any of the tools that you use that work for you — and I don’t mean Access Consciousness tools, I mean tools in general. Any of the tools that you use from any modality, from your own creation, from however, it doesn’t matter, please keep using them if they work for you. When they change, when they stop working, when there’s something else, then choose beyond that, of course.

[00:09:15] But really recognize that it isn’t about separating. It isn’t about eliminating. It’s really about being honest with ourselves. What’s working, what isn’t working, what’s actually true for us.

[00:09:30] And how do you know what’s true for you? For me — I’m going to go back, and this is probably something you’ll hear me talk a lot about, but it’s an energy. When I talk about something, there’s an energy when it’s true for me. I’m going to talk about it as that lightness, of that expansiveness – no different when I talk about the heaviness or if I go down the drama-trauma and the upset and the intrigue, that’s always heavier for me. That’s just the way it is.

[00:10:04] You may not read energy the same as I do. You’ve got to look, also, if this is something you’re interested in, which I assume if you’re still here, it’s something you’re interested in. You’ve got to look at how do you know what’s true for you?

[00:10:19] Maybe you look at something that you do know right now that is 100% true for you. How do you know it’s true? What is that for you? Is it an energy? Is it a knowing? Is it a flicker? Is it a bright sun in in the — well, there’s always bright, well, not necessarily always bright suns, but you know what I mean.

[00:10:36] What is it for you so that you can start really getting clear on all the things you’d like to get clear on in terms of what’s true for you?

[00:10:45] Probably every one of us has studied multiple, multiple modalities that all say some similarities and then some are drastically different. How do we know what’s true for us? You’ve got to look at what that is for you, and start off by just talking out loud to yourself and say something ridiculous that you know isn’t true.

[00:11:09] Get a sense of what that is in your body, in your energy field, in your knower – however you know. Get that. Get that, build that muscle so that when you are talking either in your head to yourself, you’re talking to other people, you’re taking a new class, whatever it is, that’s where then you can start getting really clear when something isn’t true for you.

[00:11:32] I keep saying for me or for you because this is the other thing. All of these modalities, all of this information that’s out there, is from one person in particular. Not just one person, but like one person brought it, and then everybody took it and ran with it, and added their own spin on it. You may have your own spin. There might be something that’s more true for you but has some truth in other areas.

[00:11:59] It’s just a really different way to look at things, and to me, it’s quite a fun way. Right? Because we don’t have to limit it. We don’t have to say, “Okay, this is the way it is,” and it might change for me. I might totally shift that down the road. That’s cool, too.

[00:12:14] I actually have no problem anymore going, “Wow, I said that for years? Hmm. Doesn’t feel true to me now” or “Was it ever true?” It doesn’t matter. We get to change our mind.

[00:12:26] What’s so interesting is, I think it was only two weeks ago, I did a radio show or it was on a radio show. It was a weekly video. Every Sunday you’re on my email list, you get an email from me with a whole bunch of little bits and pieces. One is this weekly video.

[00:12:40] In there, I was talking about how two people that I’ve been following, not Access Consciousness related, two other people, totally different. Both of them had made really big changes in their business lately. One was against Facebook ads for years and is now starting with Facebook ads. One was against social media for years and is now back to social media.

[00:13:01] I was just talking about like, “Whoa, I’m not sure I could do that,” and yet I am doing that. It’s just so funny to me. That’s totally what I’m doing. I’m talking about things that I could say the past 11 years while being a CF with Access Consciousness, but I could go beyond that. The past 20+ years that I’ve been studying modalities that I’m looking at it all. I’m really looking at it all.

[00:13:27] In the coming weeks in these shows, you will hear more from me about what is true for me which is totally different, possibly, than what I’ve been saying, and I look forward to it. I’m excited to share this part of the journey and all our little stops along the way. We’ve got so many cool places that we’ve got planned to stop at.

[00:13:49] So, session sales are still on. You can check out the link above or below. If you don’t see a link, reach out and I will get it for you. Have a great week sweet friends. I look forward to chatting again next week.

[00:00:00] Why I am no longer a Certified Facilitator with Access Consciousness®? Welcome to Tools to Create a Better Life with myself, Glenyce Hughes. Thank you so much for being here. I am so incredibly grateful for you.

[00:00:13] Now, if you’re watching the video, you will see a giant turtle behind me. If you’re listening, it’s actually a cement turtle. My hometown is actually Turtleford, Saskatchewan, Canada. I am in my hometown right now, and that is Ernie the turtle. He is… something that they chose years and years ago. I was in — I believe I was in high school when they chose.

[00:00:37] There’s a very busy highway out in front of me if you can hear all that noise. In fact, there’s a building over here. I might do a little… show you it in a moment here. That is where I worked one summer. Yes, I worked at this busy tourist attraction.

[00:00:56] In fact, I’ll tell you what I did for that summer when I worked here. I would actually — now this is really dating myself, but I would bring my parents huge camcorder because back then you could actually, I think still, but if you watch through the eyepiece, you could play the video back. I would actually bring videos – movies on video and watch them through that little screen because there was nothing to do. I think I had maybe two people stopped that summer. I’m probably exaggerating, but really, not a lot of people have questions about Ernie the turtle.

[00:01:29] Anyway, I know you’re waiting. You’re waiting for the story. You’re waiting for the good drama-trauma of why I am no longer a Certified Facilitator with Access Consciousness®.

[00:01:43] There’s lots of energies, I’m going to say, behind my choice. For many of you, you’re probably already aware of one of them, and it’s the one that really opened it up for me to really start looking at what was true for me, what really worked for me.

[00:02:00] A year ago — this is September 2023 — was when I took my last facilitator course, and I did not know at the time it would be my last one. Gary Douglas chose something towards one of the facilitators or previous facilitators in that class that really, really opened my eyes to what actually works for me.

[00:02:25] I’m so grateful because I really got to look at that for myself. I really got to see, “Does that actually work for me?” I’m actually not going to go into it. I’m not going to give you the drama-trauma behind it. I’m sure you probably all know about it anyway. If you don’t know, then you probably don’t need to know.

[00:02:43] If you’re questioning it, if you’re wondering, “What the heck?”, you could go search Lauren Marie. She’s got a whole bunch of information about what occurred. She’s done a whole podcast and all sorts of things about it. That’s all I’m gonna say about it.

[00:02:57] So, that was number one that really got me to look at it and really looking at what actually works for me in creating with, in a sense, creating with a company.

[00:03:08] The last 11 years, I’ve been a Certified Facilitator with Access Consciousness® which means I’m part of that company. In order to be proud to be part of a company, what does that look like for me? Again, it doesn’t mean it’s right or wrong. It doesn’t mean I’m going to go into judgment, but I really had to get clear of what actually works for me.

[00:03:30] In my journey with that, I came across an Instagram page called… I think it’s “Why Don’t You Say Something.” We’ll put links to these in the show notes, too. That… has blown my mind.

[00:03:44] This isn’t just about Access Consciousness®. This is about the coaching industry as a whole and all the shit that has went on, all the shit I have chose to be part of, all the shit that I’ve chose. Like, all of it. It has so opened my eyes to so many things. I am so incredibly grateful. Truly, so grateful. There’s so much in there.

[00:04:06] And then, and I spoke about this on a show recently, I came across a podcast called, I believe, “Love and Light Confessionals” or “Confessions of Love and Light” or something like that. Again, it’ll be in the show notes.

[00:04:19] There’s one in particular — I love all of her podcasts, but one in particular called something like “The Fall of the Coaching Industry.” Guys, if you have not seen or listened to that, I highly recommend it if you’re ready to have your eyes open. If you’re not, don’t do it. You can just hit ‘stop’ now and go do something else.

[00:04:39] There’s so much noise here. I hope it’s not picking up as much as I hear it.

[00:04:45] Really looking at that for myself, what am I proud to be a part of? What can I stand behind 110%? What am I not excusing? What am I not making reasons and justifications for? That really opened me up to going, “Okay, you know what? I’m not this. Not this anymore for me.”

[00:05:05] I, again, am not making any of it wrong. I will continue to use the tools to the degree that I use the tools. There’s a lot of people that I do sessions with that like the tools. I will use those in those. Is there more coming? Absolutely! There’s more awesomeness coming. I’m not quite ready to do the big reveal yet, but it is coming.

[00:05:27] This whole year has been about opening my eyes, getting honest with me about what actually works for me. What am I proud to be a part of? What would I like my name associated with?

[00:05:41] Again, I’m not saying that because Access Consciousness® is horrible or wrong or anything like that. It’s just when I look at that, it’s not that for me anymore. It was for 11 years. If you’re still part of it and you love it, please love it, . Please enjoy it. Please celebrate it. This is in no way making anybody think they need to go against Access. That’s not this.

[00:06:02] There’s been a lot of that where it’s so wrong, wrong, wrong, or so right, right, right. What if it’s just a choice? Like everything else on the planet, what if it is just a choice? Each one of us can make that choice.

[00:06:15] You can look at maybe there’s parts and pieces that work for you. Maybe there’s none of it that works for you. Maybe there’s some of it that works for you. Maybe all of it works for you. None of that is right or wrong. It’s just knowing… what I often say is once your eyes are wide open, you can’t change that. Once you’ve seen what you’ve seen, you can’t change that.

[00:06:39] I’m grateful for that. I’m so grateful for that. I’m so grateful I was part of that class last September. The interesting [thing] is I wasn’t supposed to be in the sense of it wasn’t my year. It’s just that I was pretty sure come February that we wouldn’t get to Australia so I chose that one instead. Interesting, hey? Interesting.

[00:07:02] I always say I know I have my own back. I know the universe, which includes me, has my own back, so none of that was a coincidence. None of that was, “That’s just the way it occurred.” It’s like, no, I had to be part of something to see something, to start questioning everything about it and go, “Wow, this just doesn’t actually work for me anymore, so what would I like? What does light me up?”

[00:07:28] As many of you know, probably all of you know, we have sold everything. We are attempting to travel the world house and pet sitting. We haven’t gotten very far. If you listen to last week’s show, I had a family member get sick, and so I spent almost a couple weeks in Saskatoon, 12 hours a day at the hospital, and then now I’m here with them and we’ll head out shortly.

[00:07:51] In the meantime, Hubby broke his glasses, so now we have to wait until he gets his new glasses before we can hit the road. One day, we’re gonna get where we’d like to go, but not quite yet. Again, I’m so grateful for all of it. All of it has allowed me to have so much space and so much time with the things I love, the people I love, and hanging out with Ernie the turtle.

[00:08:14] Tonight, I’m actually going to go out to the field with one of my sisters. Her family is a huge farming family in this area. Of course, it’s combining time. It’s harvest time, which means meals are in the field, which I grew up with. My dad was a farmer, so I grew up in the fall taking meals out to the field. I don’t think I appreciated it at the time, but I sure appreciate it now.

[00:08:37] So I get to do that, and there’s just so much to be grateful for and so much that I can look at. Even the past 11 years, I’m not walking away mad, or upset, or hurt, or anything. I’m grateful for that time. I’m grateful for what the tools have gifted me in that sense. I’m also grateful for the awareness of starting to really educate myself with the tools.

[00:08:59] So many of them, as Gary has said very publicly, are not actually his creation. They are things he picked up along the way from other places, other modalities, other pieces. That’s really cool too, because then there’s so many more that’s available to me now that I’m not a CF.

[00:09:17] That doesn’t change, again, personal sessions. I will continue to use the tools if the person prefers. Also, there are some things that I can do as not a CF with the tools that I may or may not choose. Who knows? Right now, I’m just enjoying my fall time here in Turtleford, Saskatchewan, Canada and looking forward to getting on the road and getting out into all these beautiful fun pet sits.

[00:09:45] We will not be getting to Eastern US as planned, Northeastern US as planned. I do need to be in Chicago for a Mastermind that I’m a part of for the kind of the middle-ish of October. We’ll probably just head kind straight to Chicago, and then from Chicago, hoping to head to Nashville and down to Atlanta and then into the US for a couple months before we come back this way for Christmas and January and such.

[00:10:11] There we go. There’s the inside scoop, guys. I’m sorry that it’s not a lot more dramatic or a lot more of an intrigue or any of that. It’s just me looking at what works for me and getting really clear on where I would like, what I would like to be part of, where I would like my name to be associated with, and what that looks like.

[00:10:35] Soon, I will do the big reveal of what’s coming next. I just want to update you. Once I sent out the email, I got so many people, so much support. Really, thank you guys for your support.

[00:10:46] So many people are saying, “Hey, you know what? I took your classes because of you,” and I get that. I get that. I’ve never thought, “Oh my gosh, if I’m not a CF with Access Consciousness®, I’m nothing.” I never ever thought that. I know it’s me, and I know that what I bring to the table is such a huge gift and I’m so grateful to know that.

[00:11:06] So, I wonder… I wonder what magic is possible now, my sweet friends. I look forward to co-creating so much more beyond… beyond what I’ve never imagined possible.

[00:11:20] Have a great week, sweet friends. I look forward to chatting again next week.

What Matters Most?

Have you ever considered what matters the most?

Hubby and I’s travel and sitting adventures were suddenly put into a halt following an emergency at home, which inspired me to ask this question: “What really matters the most?” Tune in to this episode and let’s take a moment to look at what truly matters in ways that contribute to you and all that’s around you.

[00:00:00] Have you ever considered what actually matters the most? Welcome to Tools to Create a Better Life with myself, Glenyce Hughes. Thank you so much for being here. I am so incredibly grateful for each and every one of you.

[00:00:13] I am actually in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. This is the beautiful river. You can see some of the fall colors showing up behind me. I could not get the beauty that’s over there on the camera, so I will maybe try to get some video to add in here. It’s just gorgeous, even though it’s like early September. We are getting the fall colors already.

[00:00:39] I was not supposed to be in Canada right now, and it’s kind of the inspiration for this show — what actually matters the most?

[00:00:53] Someone that I care about deeply got sick and actually is in Saskatoon here in the hospital at time of recording. Hopefully, that will have changed by the time you listen. All the plans that Hubby and I had made, suddenly, none of it mattered. All that mattered was I got here to be with the person that I care about.

[00:01:16] We were actually doing a sit in Sylvan Lake. It was our final sit in Canada, then we were heading down to the U. S. We were supposed to be in Lindstrom, Minnesota this weekend and heading towards Massachusetts, Florida, and all the places. When my loved one got sick, I just really started looking at, “What actually matters the most?”

[00:01:42] What actually matters the most is, one, that I’m not out of the country when they are in the hospital in the state they were, you know? We weren’t quite sure what was going on, what was happening. There were lots of tests being run. So, I really looked at, “What matters the most?”

[00:01:56] Well, I knew to finish the sit we were at. Of course, I could have told the people we were sitting for that I had to go and they could have arranged something — of course. I knew that didn’t have to happen, but I did need to finish it and then get here to Saskatoon which is exactly what we did. So grateful that we did.

[00:02:17] Everything, everyday is getting better and better. My loved one is getting healthier and stronger every day so it’s amazing, and I’m so grateful I’m here. I’m so grateful that I’m willing to look at, truly for me, what matters the most.

[00:02:33] This is the thing — and if you’ve been around here for a while, you’ve heard me talk about different things like this, but it wasn’t from what do they need. What does my loved one need? It’s weird, right? It’s actually what do I need? What do I need?

[00:02:48] It’s a difference between, in a sense, choosing for me and choosing for someone else. All the times that I’ve chose for someone else, it was really from this energy of superior bitch like, “They need me and I must do this for them.” Superior bitch and martyr and just all the ick.

[00:03:10] But when I looked at what do I need, yeah… suddenly, it was so easy to choose for me — to choose to know that in fact, what was interesting is the Lindstrom, Minnesota sit, they actually canceled for us. They were heading to Florida, and Florida had some hurricanes so they actually canceled which was great.

[00:03:31] And then the other sit that we knew about doesn’t start for a little while but I had just let her know I’m not sure until I know. That may not be for a day, a week, who knows? She did cancel us and then has space to book somebody else in, which also was working for me because I also didn’t want that energy of I need to be there for her pets. I needed her to take action for her and I needed to know that I could be here for as long as I’m going to be here.

[00:04:07] I mean truly, it’s beautiful here. Most of it I have been spending in the hospital during visiting hours. For today, I just knew I needed to come here. It’s such a beautiful warm fall. I mean, it’s supposed to be fall, but I think the temperatures are very similar to our summer temperatures. Just this beauty, truly, this beauty… yeah, it’s so healing. It’s so… yeah.

[00:04:33] Now, it’s not to say that you don’t consider other people when you’re looking at what you would like. That’s not what I’m saying at all, but it is something that you want to ensure that you’re looking at what works for you. You’re really honest with you about that. There may be times where you still choose for someone else, or you choose what they would like, but at least — I often refer to it as at least, let yourself have a say.

[00:05:02] If I knew that I really wanted to get going and I really wanted to go to the US, then that’s a different energy. I can look at that. I can look at what’s required for that, for my loved one in the hospital and have conversations with that. In this case, for me, it just really works for me to be here. It really works for us to have the space.

[00:05:21] Hubby got to go on a solo sit by himself — I guess that kind of makes sense — near Prince Albert on a farm. There’s a donkey, there were chickens, there was sheep, and two outdoor cats. He had a very relaxing sit and he will actually join me here in Saskatoon tomorrow.

[00:05:43] [I’m] just so grateful how well we’re taken care of in the sense of that sit opened up and he got some time and now, we get to hang out together starting tomorrow. And then, we will just choose every day based on what’s going on here and all of that.

[00:06:02] It really is this space of, “What would you like?” Again, I say that but it’s not ONLY what would you like. It’s like what is going to create greater and what matters the most to you?

[00:06:19] It’s so funny because we — I say “we” because I’ve done this a million times — make all these other things so significant. How much money we’re making or how much money we’re not making, that upset with a friend, or the cranky boss. We make all these other things so significant but really, what truly matters the most is probably the people that you care about.

[00:06:46] I hope that you are on that list. When we talk about someone that you care about, I hope that you’re part of that. One of my good friends who knows what’s going on, she just keeps saying to me, “Make sure you take care of you, too. It’s great for you to be there.” I was feeling much better once I got here. She said, “That’s great, but make sure you take care of you, too.”

[00:07:08] Looking at that for yourself, all the people that we care about on the planet, make sure you’re one of them for you. Make sure you’ve got your own back. Make sure you’re willing to invite you to the table to look at all of the choices, all of the possibilities, and all of the things that you would like to be choosing or not like to be choosing, and what it would actually take to change that.

[00:07:32] If there are places and spaces that you know that you’re not actually choosing for you or choosing the way you would like to, what would it take to make those changes? Again, it might not be right away. It might not be something that you can do differently right away. It might be looking at how to arrange it. There might be someone else that you need to bring in, assistance that you could ask for, or different social programs. Who knows? There’s so many other things, but you got to let you know first.

[00:08:02] I’ve actually been talking about that. I mean, I’ve been talking about it a lot for years, but I did a radio show, I think very recently around being honest with yourself. Just make sure that you’re honest with you.

[00:08:12] If if you’re doing something that you don’t wish to be doing, then okay, cool. Be honest with you about that. Let you know. Otherwise, we create this sort of resentment and this sort of upset and separation and usually, we are getting upset about things that aren’t actually upsettable. Yes, I’m making up words. We make these other things really significant when they’re actually not. There’s something else underneath it.

[00:08:39] If you can be honest with you about what’s going on, about what you would like to be different, how much more magic could you actually create with that honesty with you?

[00:08:50] Again, we’re not talking about being honest with the people around you right now. Let’s start with you, because that’s the number one, and then the other stuff, you can figure out.

[00:09:00] To me, it’s so much more ease. Even in this situation right now, I’ve had some conversations with the other people who care in terms of “What do we need to have set up?” in terms of maybe a little bit of a break for me at certain times and how does that look for them too, and bringing it all together rather than going, “No, I’ll do it all,” and then being mad or being upset or being hurt because nobody’s offering or all of that insanity.

[00:09:29] Honesty with us allows us to ask for what we would like, allows us to have the clarity, and then really start choosing in that sense.

[00:09:39] There we go. Maybe we’ll make it to the US here shortly, and maybe not. This isn’t so bad. This is beautiful. One of the things that we were going out to Massachusetts for was the beautiful fall colors. Kind of got some here. Not “kind of,” there’s a lot. You just can’t see it very well on the camera, but you can a little bit behind me there. You know what? If nothing else, I got some beautiful fall colors. Of course, there’s always next fall.

[00:10:06] Have a great week, sweet friends. I look forward to chatting again next week.
