[00:00:00] A psychic tool to turn back time. Welcome to Tools to Create a Better Life with myself, Glenyce Hughes. Thank you so much for listening. I am so incredibly grateful for each and every one of you. Yeah. 

 

[00:00:14] So, I recently completed a “21 Days to Receiving and Trusting Your Psychic Gifts.” It was beyond phenomenal, like, oh ,my goodness. And so the tool that I’m going to share in this radio show is one that I shared in that 21 days. [00:00:59] When I put it together initially, it was actually really fun because [when] it came to me, I’d been really sick. I’d had a really bad flu. At the very end of it when I was just starting to feel better and I was in bed one night, this idea came to me for having a workshop. I did it, it’s also available for purchase. You can find it above or below. It was called, I think “Receive & Trust Your Psychic Gifts” or something like that. 

 

[00:01:32] With that, as I’m laying in bed, that idea came “knocking at my door,” as I often refer to it, and then came right behind was like follow up with 21 days of different tools. In the original workshop, we actually went through basically all of the different psychic senses, how they can show up, how you can actually exponentialize them if you would like, and then how to utilize them to manifest your dreams come true. It was pretty close to two hours of just straight content with a workbook. It’s phenomenal. Again, we’ll have a link to it. 

 

[00:02:08] So, these came knocking at my door so loudly, so strongly that I almost got out of bed and started creating them. I was so excited about them, which, honestly, at that point, because I had been so sick, felt so good to have that sort of energy and that excitement. So the next morning, I woke up bright and early and got them created and, yeah. It’s just so cool that there is now another 21 days, like, yikes! Ah! 

 

[00:02:37] What happened in those 21 days is that I didn’t have a plan. I didn’t sit down ahead of time and write out 21 ideas. I had a couple of ideas for sure, and then there was other suggestions from people in the group that suggested different ideas. But most of the days were basically I just had to pay attention, be really present in my everyday life as to what I was using that day. 

 

[00:03:04] I’ll be honest, and this sounds so weird, especially if you’d have talked to me 20 years ago, but it has become so natural. These tools I use without even thinking about them for the most part — I can’t say all of them, of course, but for the most part, I don’t even think about them. I just go into the tool.

 

[00:03:25] “How to turn back time” tool, and I named it that because I really don’t know what else to call it, came up. It was the day before I shared the tool, I was walking up the stairs at the house that we were house sitting at and at one step, I felt like a twinge in my knee. That can occur, and I’ve had knee problems years and years ago, and so I’m pretty aware of my knees because it was horrific all those years ago.

 

[00:03:56] As soon as I felt that twinge, the next thing that I did, before I even took another step, was I energetically — this is a little bit hard to describe, but follow along. I energetically “went back in time.” I energetically went back before I took the step that had the twinge. 

 

[00:04:17] Now, a couple things: one, I didn’t take another step because I was going to be solidifying the twinge, the pain, the discomfort every step I took so I stopped. I mean, it sounds like this took minutes. It did not. It took probably three seconds. I physically stopped, I didn’t go backwards, I didn’t physically step backwards, but energetically, I did. I went back to the moment before the twinge and made that more real than the twinge. 

 

[00:04:48] I know. If you play with this, you’ll get an idea of what I’m talking about. If you try to follow along really logically, you may not have an easy time with this magic trick. But that’s basically what I do. In that moment, the step, the twinge, which again, in my world because of my past with my knees, I don’t want to take another step until I clear whatever that is. I just stop energetically, go back one step, and solidify not having the twinge so to speak, and then continue on walking, and in three seconds I’m continuing walking. Somebody, if they were walking behind me, wouldn’t even have time to bump into me. I am so quick with it. 

 

[00:05:38] Like I say with all of these — not all of them, but most of the psychic ways, tools, tricks, whatever you want to call them that I shared were ones that I actually don’t even remember I use. They’re just so part of my day. 

 

[00:05:55] And so, you can use that on most anything. Now. I say “most anything” because when we have solidified something, that’s when it’s not maybe as ease or there’s other tools we could use that might assist us quicker. But if it’s something that has not been there very long, you don’t have a really solid point of view about it, you haven’t really made it real, then it’s really fun way to utilize your energies, your psychic gifts to really play with it and shift it and then create what you’d actually like. 

 

[00:06:30] Now, what it does require is a level of presence. I’m stopping on purpose. I’m giving you that moment of like, “Wait, what?” A level of presence. I had to be so present that when my knee twinged, I knew to stop because what I could have done, and probably have done a million times before, is taken the next step, “Ouch!” Taken the next step, “Oh that really hurts!” Taken the next step, next step, “Oh sure, I’m going to have knee problems again. Oh my god! I can’t believe…” That’s what I mean when I say solidify. This is what we do — we solidify it. Stop it. Stop it. 

 

[00:07:11] So, a level of presence is required with the thing, whatever it is. How do you become that present? Well, you probably are that present in some areas. For me, again, with my knees, it was back in 2015 and I’d actually got to the point where I could barely walk. In fact, Hubby was pushing me through airports in a wheelchair. It was horrifying so I am very present with my knees, even though it’s been nine years. It took about a year for me to shift everything. I haven’t created anything with them since but I’m still very aware of that discomfort and not interested in choosing that again. 

 

[00:07:55] So, I have a level of presence with my knees that is you probably have with something else or other areas in your life. You just want to be looking at those areas and celebrate that you have it there, and then look at the areas where you would like to be creating more or actualizing more or having more or changing something. Start looking at how can you be more present with those things. How can you get more present?

 

[00:08:21] Now, I love to ask. Let’s say it’s your money stuff. Let’s say you’d like to be really present with your money stuff. What I do is I involve the other thing – whether it’s money, whether it’s my body, whether it’s my car, whatever it is, I involve it and I say, “Hey, money, can you contribute to me being really present with you? Can you assist me? When I go into shut down, can you wake me up? Can you bring me back to the present moment? Can you assist?” I’m working with the other thing to co-create whatever it is that we would like. It’s just going to depend, but that is number one: you’ve got to be present with it.

 

[00:09:00] Number two: you’ve got to make sure you don’t solidify what you don’t want. If I would have stopped on the step and went first into the panic of, “Oh no, my knees are a problem! This is a problem! They were a problem before this! I’m going to have to be…” right? That’s solidifying it. That’s making it really real. I didn’t. It’s like, “Oh, the twinge. Don’t want that.” Stop. Turn back time. Keep going. 

 

[00:09:27] Again, this is years of using these tools and these tricks and all of this magic and our psychic gifts and all of it. You might have some learning curves as you go through this, guys. You might not. I don’t want to project onto you that you will, but you might, so please have some grace with yourself about that and give yourself time with it. 

 

[00:09:45] Maybe you take one thing at a time. Maybe you say, “Okay, you know what? I’d really like to be aware with my money stuff,” and so that’s really where your attention is, where your level of presence is just until you build up that muscle. And then, you can start noticing. 

 

[00:10:00] Let’s say you’re watching TV and they’re going on a trip. They purchase a private jet to go on their trip and you go to, “Oh my god, what a waste of money! That is so stupid,” stop. Turn back time to the moment before you went into the judgment of it and what would you like it to be like. “Whoa, what a cool choice for them!” It doesn’t mean you have to want to go on a private jet. It just means that you can celebrate what they’re choosing. You don’t have to go into the judgment of it. You can just celebrate it. It’s just a different energy. 

 

[00:10:37] You can do it on points of views or beliefs or stuff like that. You can do it on physical things. Again, I’m going to say it, just don’t solidify whatever it is in the opposite. 

 

[00:10:51] Now, could you try this on something? 

 

[00:10:54] Let’s say nine years later, I still had knee problems. Could I turn back the time on those knee problems even though they’ve been solidified for nine years? Probably not, but maybe. So, I’m not saying don’t try it on that. Please, any tool that I share, any trick, whatever that I share, try it on everything. Try it on whatever you’d like. I don’t want to limit you with my experiences or my points of views or limitations with it, so please try it out.

[00:00:00] Do you struggle with pricing your magic? Welcome to Tools to Create a Better Life with myself, Glenyce Hughes, and my friend, Chloe, here. Now, for those of you who aren’t watching the video, the sweet Rottweiler that we are house sitting right now is beside me, and she’s beautiful. 

 

Anyway, do you struggle pricing your magic? Do you have a business where you don’t know what to charge for your magic, for your invaluable services and sessions? 

 

[00:00:33] Yeah, I totally get it guys. I used to struggle too, back in, gosh, 2002 when I started my business. I had no clue how to price my sessions — oh, yes. She wants to show you her lobster toy. I had no clue how to price my sessions. 

 

[00:00:51] What I started doing was I charged what people in the area were doing that were doing things that were similar to mine, because at that time there was nobody in Vermillion, Alberta, Canada, that was offering Reiki sessions. I looked at massage therapists and I looked at, you know, they were about an hour long sessions, which was same as my Reiki sessions. So, I charged what they charged, which was $45 a session. 

 

[00:01:15] Now, that’s great. There’s nothing wrong with doing it that way. However, I was not aligned with that. I was not aligned with that price. And what happens when we’re not aligned with the price that we’re pricing things at? There’s no energy on it for people to choose it. In fact, there’s more of an energy not to choose it than to actually choose it. I know. 

 

[00:01:42] And so, what happened was I couldn’t even look at people in the eyes if I met somebody in the grocery store and they asked about my business and they said, “Oh, what do you charge for a session?” I would look away and say $45 a session and look back at them. I could not even hold their gaze. 

 

[00:02:01] So, what I started doing, and this is just one of many, many, many different pricing strategies, but what I started doing, and this was probably a good few years after I started my business. It took a while for me to really start gaining confidence in business.

 

[00:02:17] What I would do before I would price something is I would look at it and go, “Okay, if I were to meet somebody on the street, can I look at them in the eyes and tell them the price?” and I would just imagine it. 

 

[00:02:32] I would just imagine myself, again, in the co-op grocery store, somebody walking up to me saying, “What is the price for this session?” and me going, whatever, “$100.” If I had to go a hundred dollars and look away, I knew I wasn’t aligned. That started changing everything for me because I was now doing business from that sense of alignment, that sense of energetic alignment. 

 

[00:03:00] One thing that I’ve heard so many people suggest in terms of pricing, which is a bit of a problem, is to price what you’re worth ’cause guys, it’s impossible to price what you’re worth. If you were to look at it and look at the change that you can contribute to somebody in whatever way you’re doing it, whether it’s a product or a session or service or whatever class – [it] doesn’t matter, look at how much change that that offers that person. If you’re going to price it for what it’s worth, it’s probably millions, if not billions of dollars. So, I really suggest not pricing based on what it’s worth, but price on the energetic alignment for you with that price. 

 

[00:03:48] Now, there’s other things to take into consideration. Of course, you know? You might only be able to look at somebody and say, +”Oh, my sessions are $1.” Okay, that’s crazy. So, there are other pieces.

 

[00:04:00] Now, this is a whole invite to a beautiful 2-part class that I’ve got coming up called “Confidently Pricing Your Magic.” We will go through all of that. Part one is really about honoring and acknowledging and getting to your worth, your value, but not from the place where I was talking about before where you’re going to start pricing based on your worth – no. You’re going to start acknowledging it, and not like celebrating it, knowing it. 

 

And then, part two is all about different pricing strategies. So, the looking people in the eyes, that’s one of many. Some are energetic, some are very practical, you know, where you would actually look at what you would like to make in a month. Maybe even look at what you require in a month. Maybe you know you require $2, 000, so then you can work backwards in some places. 

 

[00:04:54] There’s so many different ways to do it. If this is something that you struggle with, I invite you to join us. The links will be above or below. [00:05:18] With that, we want to be looking at what is it that when we price something, where are we energetically with that? Now, there’s a lot of times where we think it has to do with the thing itself, like, the value of the thing, and it can be. But a lot of times it’s more from within. 

 

[00:05:39] You know, $45 , even back in 2002, $45 for a Reiki session really wasn’t a huge amount of money. But honestly, if I was really doing it, if I would have known what I know now and I would have done it from alignment, being energetically aligned back then, honestly, they would have been $25. That would have been where I could have looked people in the eye and said, “Oh, they’re 25 a session.” 

 

[00:06:07] Now, it has no meaning on the session itself, whether they’re $45, $25, or I mean eventually I got up to $160, $225, $300. It wasn’t actually about that. It was about, for me, really acknowledging that I do contribute. I do just by doing the session.

 

[00:06:30] Let’s be honest. Just by us breathing, we contribute. But the way we’re talking about it right now in terms of pricing is what contribution we can be? What we can gift? It’s a totally different energy. 

 

[00:06:44] When we’re trying to base it only on the logistics of, “Okay, well other people in my area charge this,” or, of course, some people try to do the other thing of, say, Reiki practitioners in the area charge $100, I’m going to charge $70 so I undercut people. That’s not going to work either, guys, because you’re not energetically aligned. 

 

[00:07:05] Sometimes, we’re not energetically aligned because it’s too much, as it was for me with $45. Sometimes we’re not energetically aligned because it’s too little. Yeah. It’s a totally backwards thing, right? Because we think, “Oh, well, we should always go down in price. That will always be more comfortable or more aligned.” No. In some cases, yes, of course, but sometimes it’s the other way. 

 

[00:07:31] I remember… this would have been probably 2010, 2011. I would have been in business eight, nine years. I remember that. I remember all of a sudden, I used to always fill up my 1-1 session. I would do 1-1 sessions about four days a week, sometimes five, but mostly four days a week. I would do four 1-1 sessions a day usually. By the end of the week, the next week was usually full. I didn’t book up months in advance or anything like that. But usually by the end of the week, the following week was filled. 

 

[00:08:05] What started happening was the following week didn’t get filled. In fact, it was maybe 50%, sometimes 30%. I was like, “What happening? What’s going on?” Of course, the usual “what did I do wrong” type of energy. What I actually had to acknowledge was I wasn’t actually charging what was aligned for me. I was charging too little at that point. 

 

[00:08:31] And so, again, once we’re out of that energetical alignment with our pricing, business just doesn’t flow. The money can’t flow in. It is this space of us putting up walls and barriers and really limiting what is possible for us, and again, either way. 

 

[00:08:48] If we go back to my example of $45 for a Reiki session, and if I’d have known then what I know now, back then it probably would have been $25. It would have been more energetically aligned. 

 

[00:09:02] But people would say, “But look at how much less you’re making.” But… I meanwe’rere working off of some assumptions here, but very likely I would have been filled up or at least close to filled up with sessions at $25 a session compared to having maybe one, maybe two sessions a week at $45. Ultimately, it would have worked out better for me financially back then to really be in alignment with the pricing.

[00:00:00] Would you like The Steps to Create 2024 to Be Your Most Magical Year So Far #asifbymagic? Welcome to Tools to Create a Better Life with myself, Glenyce Hughes. I am so incredibly grateful that you are here. Thank you so much. 

 

[00:00:17] Earlier this month, I did a call — a holiday gift for everybody on my email list — about The Steps and I have shortened it for the podcast here. You will also receive the slides — yes, I put slides together for this. 

 

[00:00:44] Without further ado, Steps to Create 2024 to Be the Most Magical Year So Far. We always want to put so far at the end because we don’t want to say 2024 was the best year and it’s 2026 or something like that. This is truly “So far.” We’re gonna create it so far.

 

[00:01:07] If you happen to be watching this in 2026 or another year, please know all of this still applies. We just put 2024 because that’s the year we’re going into right now. It is December of 2023. It’s exciting — at least for me — to think about 2024 and the magic we can create, but please know these all work no matter where or when you are. 

 

[00:01:30] Some of you are new here, and I just want to do a quick little introduction of myself. I’m Glenyce Hughes and I used to have red hair. You can see in that photo. I have been facilitating people since basically 2002 through my business. I have done so many different things throughout all of those years but it’s all basically been the same theme of assisting people to create a magical life.

 

[00:02:00] I did that because I spent so many years, really, I’m going to say “suffering” – that sounds very dramatic, but really in that energy of it wasn’t possible. There was no possibilities. It was just “you’re just here, and then you die” type of thing. 

 

[00:02:15] And so, when I realized that it doesn’t have to be that way and we can choose a magical life, that’s what I started facilitating within the business, or started my business to facilitate that for people. 

 

[00:02:30] When I say ” for people,” I include myself in that too, because it really is. It’s just this huge gift to, to all of us. Even you sharing what your asks were, that is such a huge gift also because it inspires more for me. And then when I shared mine back, maybe there were some that inspired for you. We can really inspire each other to really create the magical lives that are possible. 

 

[00:02:57] At this point, Rodney and I — I call him “Hubby” — him and I, we travel the world full time now. We’ve sold everything pretty much, including our house and everything. Yes, even my swimming pool. But luckily, we go places where there’s other swimming pools. 

 

[00:03:15] We do this full time to pet and house sit around the world while I continue to run my business also because it can go anywhere with me, which I’m so grateful for. We get to snuggle fur babies and laugh a lot and check out cool things. That’s one of our favorite things of this. We’ve been full time now five or six months, I don’t even remember. We’ve just been able to find cool things in all the different areas. 

 

[00:03:41] We spent the last couple months in the U. S. and we will actually go back early next year and spend some time in Texas and elsewhere, and then probably head over to Europe and stuff.

 

[00:03:53] Things that I like. Strong coffee. I mean, really, really strong coffee. Belly laughing with family and friends, and floating and swimming pools. 

 

[00:04:03] I dislike long lines, crowds of people, and small talk, and icky smells. I have a super sensitive nose. Things you probably didn’t need to know about me, but now you do.

 

[00:04:15] All right. Now, the steps to create. We’re going to talk about each one individually, but I wanted to kind of give you an overview here. Number one is ask, number two is action – most people ignore that one, number three is receive, and number four is clarity.

 

[00:04:35] Now, I could probably make 400 steps, really. I mean, I’m just kind of touching on the basics today. But if you were to follow these, you would be creating towards the magical life you desire. We’ve kept them pretty basic for today, but I don’t mean basic in terms of not much information. I mean basic in terms of we don’t need 400 steps. Four is probably good for us. 

 

[00:05:01] Alright, so let’s talk about ASKING. What are the energies that you would like for 2024? 

 

[00:05:09] Now, I specifically put energies on here, guys. If you want to be writing down notes, or if you want to be writing in the chat, please feel free. You are open to utilizing this time that you’re here, whether you’re watching live or you’re listening later, or watching later to actually go through these steps right now. I won’t give time to go through, but of course, you know me, I talk a lot, so you’re gonna have time.

 

[00:05:34] Back to what I was saying. What energies would you like for 2024? 

 

[00:05:39] I specifically put “energies” as opposed to “what would you like for 2024” because that often trips us up. If we’re going to look at next year, again, whatever the year is, and what you would like for it, people go, “Well, I don’t know what I would like.” Okay, cool, but what are the energies? That, at least for me and most of the people that I work with, is a lot easier to tap into. 

 

[00:06:05] Now, if you know what the energies or what the specifics are — if you have some specifics, please write those down too. Maybe you know you would like a new career. Write that down. There’s nothing wrong with having specifics. It just often is what stops people from asking because they think they have to have specifics. 

 

[00:06:26] Years ago, I used to do a lot of Law of Attraction, which is great, but I really misused it in the sense that I thought I had to be like, okay, if I wanted a new car, let’s say, I had to figure out exactly what type of car I wanted, what size of tires I wanted, what the sound system should be like. I had it. It was crazy what I used to do with that. 

 

[00:06:52] What I find just to be so much easier is what are the energies? Even if let’s say you would like a new car, what are the energies of that? Oh, spaciousness. 

 

[00:07:03] For me, when I think of driving, and of course the last couple of months we’ve done a lot of driving, spaciousness. I like to feel spacious in my vehicle. I like to feel safe in my vehicle. I like it to be quiet in my vehicle. By that, I mean the road noise. We drive an Audi 25 and over the past little while, sometimes we’ve either been in other people’s vehicles or maybe we had a loaner when my car was skidding. A service or something. Whoo. Some of those are really noisy on the road. And so for me, these are things that I know. I like the quietness. 

 

[00:07:44] With your specifics, see if there’s energies you can list also. If you have no specifics, go straight to the energies. 

 

[00:07:53] Now, I just put some on here because I know when you get that question — What energies would you like in 2024? — it can kind of feel like you’re a deer in the headlights like, “I don’t know, I don’t know,” so I put some here. Some of them you might really, really resonate with, some of them you might not. You might have other ones, that’s totally okay. But we want to look at what are those energies. 

 

[00:08:17] And then for this, what you could do as we’re going through it right now, if you’re choosing to go through the steps with me, is pick one of those energies for the next steps. It’ll just be easier for you to keep it to one, but please go through this a few times. 

 

[00:08:34] You don’t have to go through it a hundred times if you have a hundred energies, but what are the big [ones]? You could even do what are the top three after we’re done here, but do one right now if you’re going through it with me. What’s the number one energy that you would like for 2024? Yeah. Yeah. 

 

[00:08:52] Now, sometimes we have this idea that there’s only one. If we’re talking about — I see Susan has here “abundance” and “joy.” I’m talking about, okay, we’ll just choose one. 

 

[00:09:10] Abundance and joy often go hand in hand, right? Again, you don’t have to just have the one. It just might be easier for the next steps. We’re not sure. Maybe the energies are so congruent for you, they go hand in hand, and that’s great also. 

 

[00:09:24] There really is no right or wrong with how you choose the energy you would like. A lot of people, even in the new year, will often identify a word for the year. You might even, you know, as you’re going through this, that might be what popped up for you. 

 

[00:09:38] Let’s say “abundance” was yours. Maybe that is your word for 2024 and you could keep that maybe on sticky notes around or a note on your phone or something just to kind of keep you in the energy of it or the remembering of it. Yeah. And then we’ve got “well being” and then “ease with body” and “health.” Yeah. If you could pick one energy right now, what is it for 2024 for you? What are you asking for? 

 

[00:10:09] Sometimes, it’s the exact opposite of what we’re not appreciating in our life right now. That’s sometimes the quickest way to find the energy. And that’s okay too, guys. 

 

[00:10:22] Some people would say, “Oh, no, I don’t want to focus on…” maybe what we might judge as the negative and we’d be like, “Oh, no, I don’t want to.” But what if that’s what gets you there? 

 

[00:10:30] What if you’ve been really struggling financially in 2023 and you really are tired of that, so then maybe it is “prosperity” or “abundance” or “rich” or something like that, because you know what you don’t like?

 

[00:10:46] Please count those, guys. Knowing what we don’t like is as valuable as knowing what we would like, and it’s energies or specifics or mix of both. 

 

[00:10:56] “Balance,” “empowerment,” we have “balanced health,” “friendships.” That’s awesome, guys. 

 

[00:11:03] All right, so first step, ask. What would you like for, in this case 2024?

 

[00:11:09] Next step is ACTION. 

 

[00:11:11] Now, I laughed earlier saying this is hugely the one that people ignore, and I mean I can speak for myself. This one, for so many years, I ignored. 

 

[00:11:22] Going back to my years within the Law of Attraction, I really thought if I did the figuring it out, got really specific with the car I wanted, wrote out everything, the tire size and all of that, and then just sat on the couch and hoped and prayed and wished… and it just never worked like that for me, guys. It just didn’t. 

 

[00:11:42] What I found is adding action. So, what’s required? If you look at that one energy — I’m going to use Hannah because she’s the last one who posted on the chat here with “friendships” — what is required to manifest more friendships? 

 

[00:11:57] Now, there’s three ways that we can take action. There’s probably more, but these are, I would say, the three that work when I look at this, when I look at taking action. There’s physical action to take often, there’s logical action to take often, there’s energetic action to take, and I’m gonna say and I’ll speak for myself here, 100 percent of the time.

 

[00:12:22] I always have an energetic action to take with with my asks. I may have a physical and I may have a logical, and the logical and physical may look the same. They may be the same sort of a thing and that’s totally fine. It’s just sometimes they’re a little bit different. 

 

[00:12:38] I put this example on because in your guys’ email responses to me, so many of you were asking for more money or money stuff or peace with money, abundance, prosperity, all of that, so I used it as an example. 

 

[00:12:51] A physical action that you could take if you would like to feel abundant. A physical action that you could take is get clear on the money that you owe and the interest rate of, say, each credit card. 

 

[00:13:03] Let’s say you’re not feeling abundant because you have a lot of credit card expenses. Okay, so physical action: get clear on it. 

 

[00:13:12] When I had a credit card — lots of them — and line of credits, and all of this, I had actually had a spreadsheet that I used, and I tracked what the interest rate of each one was, what the limit on each one was, and where I was at it, like how much I had on it, I should say, so I could be very clear on what was exact, what was actually going on, rather than putting my head in the sand. 

 

[00:13:37] So, physical action could [be] get clear. Logical action could be where you contact the credit card company and discuss lowering your interest rates. 

 

[00:13:47] Now, physical and logical in this case could be the same, right? That if you’re going to contact the credit card company, that’s also physical action. Again, physical and logical often work together or very similar, but I do like to separate them. 

 

[00:14:01] Of course, we’re going to add some what we could call “woo-woo” to it. For me, the energetic action then is I need to be shifting energetically into that abundance energy. 

 

[00:14:15] Something that I talk about a lot is familiar energy. If you have a familiar energy to credit card expenses, credit card debt, that’s a familiar energy. What often it takes to shift a familiar energy is to get more familiar with the energy you would like. 

 

[00:14:38] For me, I find the energetic exercises, that’s why I talk about them all the time, that’s why I do them all the time, because what I’m doing is I’m taking that energy I would like and making it more familiar for me.

 

[00:14:51] This past summer, we sold our home. Once all the paperwork and everything was done, then the lawyer put the money into our bank account. That occurred on a, I think it was a Wednesday. On the Saturday, I went into the bank account, I looked on Wednesday too and just did a little screenshot, sent it to Hubby, he was like, “WhoopIe!” and then just left it. And then on the Saturday, I went into the bank account and it was gone. 

 

[00:15:24] Our account was in the minus, which our account has never been in the minus. I’ve had a lot of credit card stuff previous to 2014. I used to live off credit cards, all of that. But in terms of bank accounts, never, ever had in the minus. Here, our account was in the minus of these hundreds of thousands of dollars. It was a long weekend here in Canada, so I had to wait until Tuesday. It was Saturday. I had to wait until Tuesday before I could talk to the bank. 

 

[00:15:57] What I was so aware of is that on the Wednesday when that money got deposited, it was, I’m going to say, an unfamiliar energy for me. So then when on Saturday it was gone, that was a familiar energy for me. I don’t mean like the shock of it being gone. That’s not familiar to me, but it not being there was more familiar. So I was so aware of that on the Saturday. 

 

[00:16:22] I mean, I didn’t really panic because what I assumed had happened is I should have maybe talked to the bank that this lump sum was coming in, so that’s kind of the story I told myself. So then I took those days and just kept doing energetic exercises to be more familiar with the energy of that money in my bank account as opposed to it not being there. 

 

[00:16:45] And then on Tuesday, what was really funny is when I did talk to the bank, she’s like, “I’ve never seen this before. I don’t know what happened.” I’m like, “You’re freaking me out.” But anyway, it was all fixed. It was actually a mistake by the bank itself. Anyway, just an example of familiar energy. 

 

[00:17:06] We need to be shifting those energies and that, to me, is where the energetic exercises come in. Okay. All right.

 

[00:17:14] So, that’s action. You might have a physical, you might have a logical, you might have 10 physical actions or 10 logical actions. There’s no limit on [it]. It’s not like it’s just one action. Sometimes it is, and sometimes it’s more. Sometimes there’s no physical or logical. Maybe it is just energetic. 

 

[00:17:34] I talk about energetic exercises [but] maybe you have your own way. The energetic exercise aren’t the only way. It’s just that’s my way. You might have a different way that you like to do that. But just recognizing that there’s going to be action. No matter what, there will be action to take for whatever energy that you’re asking for, or energies. All right. 

 

[00:17:56] So then RECEIVING is where awareness, presence, and tenacity come together. What that means is you need to be aware of where you’re blocking receiving and change it. 

 

[00:18:14] How we block receiving can be so interesting. It could be multiple ways. I just jotted a couple things down here.

 

[00:18:22] JUDGING is one of the biggest ways that we block receiving, meaning, let’s say somebody won the lottery in your town. You start going, “How come they get to win it and I never win it? Look at them, they don’t even need the money. They were born with a silver spoon in their mouth,” or whatever. Right? We’re blocking receiving. What if we could celebrate their receiving of that? What if that would actually expand us energetically to receive even more? 

 

[00:18:53] ZONING OUT is also a really interesting way that we can block receiving. Let’s say somebody says to you, “Oh my gosh, I really love your dress today.” You’re like, “Oh yeah, thank you,” or, “Oh yeah, I got it,” so and so. “Oh, it’s half price,” or where you just zone out. You’re not even present with the gift that they’re gifting you. 

 

[00:19:17] Or DISTRACTING YOURSELF. It’s another way. We can go on social media of some sort and really stop receiving. By that, I mean if we’re on social media, let’s say you’re on TikTok, and you’re watching some TikToks, you can be doing it from distraction. You could also be doing it from receiving. It’s just a different energy. If you’re looking to do it from receiving, get present. Be present while you’re there with that.

 

[00:19:47] Now, at least the way that I see it, there’s nothing wrong with distracting ourselves. I love watching different Netflix things or going on TikTok or social media. It’s just where am I when I’m doing it? Am I blocking receiving or am I actually enhancing my receiving or building my receiving muscles?

 

[00:20:09] Now, ways to change it. If you recognize that you’re actually blocking the receiving, then how can you change it? 

 

[00:20:16] One, my favorite way probably, in that moment, is drop your walls and barriers and receive it. 

 

[00:20:25] Yesterday, Hubby and I went out to a pet sit that will start on January 3rd about half an hour from here. We just went to meet the animals and meet the couple and walk through the house and do those sorts of things. 

 

[00:20:39] With pet and house sitting, it’s been a really interesting adventure because some people who have you come in. The way we do it is through something called “Trusted Housesitters.” We don’t actually get paid, okay? It is a win-win. We have a place to stay. They have all the things, and we get to hang out with animals. They get a win-win because they get to go away knowing that their animals are loved, their home is taken care of, all of that. For us, it’s a win-win. 

 

[00:21:12] Some people are a little bit different in it, where they might see it as they’re doing us a favor. Like, you get to stay at our house, so we’re doing you a favor. Luckily, we’ve had very few of those. 

 

[00:21:27] Usually they’re more this other way, which is, “I can’t believe you’re doing this for us. We are so grateful.” Now, that’s how we show up. We are so grateful. “I can’t believe you’re sharing your home and your pets with us.”

 

[00:21:40] When those two meet, when those two energies meet, it’s such a contribution because both of us are aware it’s a win-win and we’re both gifting and receiving. 

 

[00:21:50] Yesterday when we got there, it was beyond the win-win in their world. We haven’t actually experienced this from anybody yet where that they’re like, “What groceries can we get for you? What can we have here for you so that you’re comfortable? Could we get you gift cards? Can we get you blah, blah, blah…” Rodney and I were both in the space of like, “Oh gosh, no,” like the space of not receiving it.

 

[00:22:19] It probably took me about three minutes to recognize what we were doing because they were so grateful that we would come and stay and love their animals and their home as they do and they just wanted to gift us and shower us with gifts. It was so interesting because all of a sudden I realized we are blocking this. 

 

[00:22:40] [I] stopped and I just dropped my walls and barriers, and it’s an energetic thing for me. I’ve done it for so many years now that it’s quite quick. If it’s new for you, it might take you a little bit longer and you might have to find your way. 

 

[00:22:56] For me, I can energetically, I don’t even have to close my eyes. I’m doing that right now, but if I’m standing in front of somebody who’s offering to leave me gift cards for the grocery store, then I can just have my eyes open, but I can energetically feel or perceive my walls up and I can just drop them. 

 

[00:23:20] If you’re visual, you could imagine a bunch of bricks and then crash them down. You could imagine expanding beyond the walls and barriers, whatever you need to do. But it isn’t for me. It’s just an energetic recognition that I’m not receiving, and then shifting it so that I do. 

 

[00:23:39] What I started shifting it to is every time she kept saying something or he kept saying something like, “We’ll leave you this and we’ll go get you this sort of bread, and we’ll make sure we have this in the fridge,” I’d just be like, “Thank you. That’s very kind.” Every time I said that, I would expand out further. I would drop and push those barriers even farther because it was a huge invitation of receiving that was like, wow. Wow. It was so cool.

 

[00:24:05] What was even cooler is that when we left there, we went to a diner and had a meal. Rodney had ordered soup before his meal. We’ve been in there a few times, this is the first time we ever saw the owner. When she brought him the soup, she looked at me and she’s like, “Would you like some? I can bring you a bowl of soup if you would like.” 

 

[00:24:30] It was like, we’d already paid. It’s kind of one where you go up at the front, you order first and pay, and then you go sit down. Right away, I could feel that energy again. I’m like, “Sure, that would be great, thank you.” 

 

[00:24:42] And so she brought me soup, and then she brought me extra, oh, I can’t remember, salad or whatever it was. It was just like this whole energy of receiving it. “Thank you, that’s very kind. Thank you, that’s very kind.” 

 

[00:24:57] I don’t know about you guys, but when I’m not receiving, it gets really wonky in their world, too. Same thing for me. If the person who I’m attempting to gift to isn’t receiving, it gets wonky in my world. The more we’re willing to receive, the more we’re willing to gift and receive, the more ease it is in all of our lives. 

 

[00:25:22] And then, of course, another one of my favorites, an energetic exercise to shift it. 

 

[00:25:27] In those moments – standing in front of the house sit that we’ve got coming up, standing in front of that couple, I’m not going to take time to go do an energetic exercise and be like, “Can I just have a moment?” No, I don’t do that. 

 

[00:25:41] In those moments where it’s just like dealing with it in that moment, I’ll drop the walls and barriers. But then, I haven’t actually done it yet, but now I’m going to now that I remember. I’m thinking about it. I’m gonna do an energetic exercise to really receive for people that would like to gift and really look at how much farther I can receive it. How much farther can I expand into that? 

 

[00:26:06] The other thing that I have found really helpful when I’m not receiving is go do something completely different.

 

[00:26:13] Let’s say you’re in judgment. Let’s say you’re spinning in judgment, somebody won the lottery, and how dare they and you know… just go do something different. Go take a walk, go phone a friend, go watch some funny videos. Just go do something physically different to really break that habit almost in that moment.

 

[00:26:37] Those are just, again, a few suggestions on how to change when you recognize that you’re not receiving because really, with these spaces, it is this that we’re asking. 

 

[00:26:52] Whatever the energy is we’re asking for — I’m going to use “abundance” because I was talking about that. We’re asking for more abundance. In order to have more abundance or whatever it is you’ve asked for, there’s a level of receiving with that. That is so huge. This part is certainly important. Yeah. 

 

[00:27:13] We will end today with an energetic exercise. I will walk you through one of those, guys. All right. 

 

[00:27:20] So, CLARITY. Number four is basically, you’re gonna look back at steps one, two, and three. You’ve taken those steps, now what? Now, you need to look at okay, what is working? What is working with this? 

 

[00:27:35] Let’s say, again, we’re talking about abundance and you’ve done some energetic exercises around it. You’ve taken some action. You’ve talked to the credit card companies, all of that. 

 

[00:27:45] What is working? Maybe the credit card companies did lower the interest. Okay, cool. What isn’t working? Maybe you’re still putting money on them. Maybe you’re still using them. Okay, so what action’s required there? Maybe you’re required to cut them up or something like that. Okay. We’ve got to look at what is working, what isn’t working. 

 

[00:28:04] Sometimes, we’ve got to look at, has our ask changed? Maybe our ask was abundance, and we’ve talked to the credit card companies and we’re doing all the things, but maybe it’s like, it’s a little bit different now. Maybe it’s something like, I don’t know, peace with money. Maybe that more matches the energy of your ask now. Maybe you’ve got the energy of abundance, and now it’s about shifting it to something different for you. 

 

[00:28:29] And then always, always, always, are there different actions to take? Because if there are, then you want to be aware of those and be taking those. 

 

[00:28:39] Now, everybody does this sort of stuff differently. I track everything. I’m a big, big tracker. I really think that the more we track things, the more that we’re going to add magic to it. I have spreadsheets about this stuff for myself. I laugh because it sounds so bizarre, I’m sure to some people, but it’s how I track it. 

 

[00:29:08] What I know for myself is if I don’t track it, I’m not going to change it. I’m not actually probably even interested in changing it, I’m just giving lip service. The things that I track are the things that will change. Always, always, always. Because by tracking it, I’m adding awareness. 

 

[00:29:25] What I would suggest with something like this, you don’t have to be as weird as me with a spreadsheet, but you could use a note on your phone. You could set a reminder every week or every month. I wouldn’t do it longer than a month, but weekly might be too much. But once a month, go and check out. Go look at those energies you’ve been asking for. Look at what the actions you have been taking. Look at the actions you haven’t been taking. What’s required? 

 

[00:29:50] Go through these questions: What’s working? What isn’t? Has the ask changed? Are there different actions to take? Because the other piece with all of this is we often will actualize or manifest our ask, and then guess what? We don’t even recognize it because we haven’t tracked it. We haven’t paid attention.

 

[00:30:09] Another word for tracking could be presence. We haven’t got present with it. For me, the best way, the easiest way to be present with it is to track it. You might have a different way, but just know that if you are doing a little bit of this work and then you just leave it and then you may be re-watching this in a year and you haven’t done anything with it in between, that’s probably not going to work near as well as if you’re willing to be present with it.

 

[00:30:38] Those are the steps. I’m just going to go back to the first slide here. Asking, action, receiving, clarity, and then basically repeat, repeat, repeat. We, of course, are talking about this as creating 2024 to be the most magical year so far as if by magic, but you could do it for anything if you want to. 

 

[00:31:04] If you look at that ask, you know, whether it’s steps to create the abundance you would like, to create the job you would like, to create whatever it is, these are the steps no matter what the what the topic is. These are the steps that you can go through.

[00:00:44] Without further ado, Steps to Create 2024 to Be the Most Magical Year So Far. We always want to put so far at the end because we don’t want to say 2024 was the best year and it’s 2026 or something like that. This is truly “So far.” We’re gonna create it so far.

 

[00:01:07] If you happen to be watching this in 2026 or another year, please know all of this still applies. We just put 2024 because that’s the year we’re going into right now. It is December of 2023. It’s exciting — at least for me — to think about 2024 and the magic we can create, but please know these all work no matter where or when you are. 

 

[00:01:30] Some of you are new here, and I just want to do a quick little introduction of myself. I’m Glenyce Hughes and I used to have red hair. You can see in that photo. I have been facilitating people since basically 2002 through my business. I have done so many different things throughout all of those years but it’s all basically been the same theme of assisting people to create a magical life.

 

[00:02:00] I did that because I spent so many years, really, I’m going to say “suffering” – that sounds very dramatic, but really in that energy of it wasn’t possible. There was no possibilities. It was just “you’re just here, and then you die” type of thing. 

 

[00:02:15] And so, when I realized that it doesn’t have to be that way and we can choose a magical life, that’s what I started facilitating within the business, or started my business to facilitate that for people. 

 

[00:02:30] When I say ” for people,” I include myself in that too, because it really is. It’s just this huge gift to, to all of us. Even you sharing what your asks were, that is such a huge gift also because it inspires more for me. And then when I shared mine back, maybe there were some that inspired for you. We can really inspire each other to really create the magical lives that are possible. 

 

[00:02:57] At this point, Rodney and I — I call him “Hubby” — him and I, we travel the world full time now. We’ve sold everything pretty much, including our house and everything. Yes, even my swimming pool. But luckily, we go places where there’s other swimming pools. 

 

[00:03:15] We do this full time to pet and house sit around the world while I continue to run my business also because it can go anywhere with me, which I’m so grateful for. We get to snuggle fur babies and laugh a lot and check out cool things. That’s one of our favorite things of this. We’ve been full time now five or six months, I don’t even remember. We’ve just been able to find cool things in all the different areas. 

 

[00:03:41] We spent the last couple months in the U. S. and we will actually go back early next year and spend some time in Texas and elsewhere, and then probably head over to Europe and stuff.

 

[00:03:53] Things that I like. Strong coffee. I mean, really, really strong coffee. Belly laughing with family and friends, and floating and swimming pools. 

 

[00:04:03] I dislike long lines, crowds of people, and small talk, and icky smells. I have a super sensitive nose. Things you probably didn’t need to know about me, but now you do.

 

[00:04:15] All right. Now, the steps to create. We’re going to talk about each one individually, but I wanted to kind of give you an overview here. Number one is ask, number two is action – most people ignore that one, number three is receive, and number four is clarity.

 

[00:04:35] Now, I could probably make 400 steps, really. I mean, I’m just kind of touching on the basics today. But if you were to follow these, you would be creating towards the magical life you desire. We’ve kept them pretty basic for today, but I don’t mean basic in terms of not much information. I mean basic in terms of we don’t need 400 steps. Four is probably good for us. 

 

[00:05:01] Alright, so let’s talk about ASKING. What are the energies that you would like for 2024? 

 

[00:05:09] Now, I specifically put energies on here, guys. If you want to be writing down notes, or if you want to be writing in the chat, please feel free. You are open to utilizing this time that you’re here, whether you’re watching live or you’re listening later, or watching later to actually go through these steps right now. I won’t give time to go through, but of course, you know me, I talk a lot, so you’re gonna have time.

 

[00:05:34] Back to what I was saying. What energies would you like for 2024? 

 

[00:05:39] I specifically put “energies” as opposed to “what would you like for 2024” because that often trips us up. If we’re going to look at next year, again, whatever the year is, and what you would like for it, people go, “Well, I don’t know what I would like.” Okay, cool, but what are the energies? That, at least for me and most of the people that I work with, is a lot easier to tap into. 

 

[00:06:05] Now, if you know what the energies or what the specifics are — if you have some specifics, please write those down too. Maybe you know you would like a new career. Write that down. There’s nothing wrong with having specifics. It just often is what stops people from asking because they think they have to have specifics. 

 

[00:06:26] Years ago, I used to do a lot of Law of Attraction, which is great, but I really misused it in the sense that I thought I had to be like, okay, if I wanted a new car, let’s say, I had to figure out exactly what type of car I wanted, what size of tires I wanted, what the sound system should be like. I had it. It was crazy what I used to do with that. 

 

[00:06:52] What I find just to be so much easier is what are the energies? Even if let’s say you would like a new car, what are the energies of that? Oh, spaciousness. 

 

[00:07:03] For me, when I think of driving, and of course the last couple of months we’ve done a lot of driving, spaciousness. I like to feel spacious in my vehicle. I like to feel safe in my vehicle. I like it to be quiet in my vehicle. By that, I mean the road noise. We drive an Audi 25 and over the past little while, sometimes we’ve either been in other people’s vehicles or maybe we had a loaner when my car was skidding. A service or something. Whoo. Some of those are really noisy on the road. And so for me, these are things that I know. I like the quietness. 

 

[00:07:44] With your specifics, see if there’s energies you can list also. If you have no specifics, go straight to the energies. 

 

[00:07:53] Now, I just put some on here because I know when you get that question — What energies would you like in 2024? — it can kind of feel like you’re a deer in the headlights like, “I don’t know, I don’t know,” so I put some here. Some of them you might really, really resonate with, some of them you might not. You might have other ones, that’s totally okay. But we want to look at what are those energies. 

 

[00:08:17] And then for this, what you could do as we’re going through it right now, if you’re choosing to go through the steps with me, is pick one of those energies for the next steps. It’ll just be easier for you to keep it to one, but please go through this a few times. 

 

[00:08:34] You don’t have to go through it a hundred times if you have a hundred energies, but what are the big [ones]? You could even do what are the top three after we’re done here, but do one right now if you’re going through it with me. What’s the number one energy that you would like for 2024? Yeah. Yeah. 

 

[00:08:52] Now, sometimes we have this idea that there’s only one. If we’re talking about — I see Susan has here “abundance” and “joy.” I’m talking about, okay, we’ll just choose one. 

 

[00:09:10] Abundance and joy often go hand in hand, right? Again, you don’t have to just have the one. It just might be easier for the next steps. We’re not sure. Maybe the energies are so congruent for you, they go hand in hand, and that’s great also. 

 

[00:09:24] There really is no right or wrong with how you choose the energy you would like. A lot of people, even in the new year, will often identify a word for the year. You might even, you know, as you’re going through this, that might be what popped up for you. 

 

[00:09:38] Let’s say “abundance” was yours. Maybe that is your word for 2024 and you could keep that maybe on sticky notes around or a note on your phone or something just to kind of keep you in the energy of it or the remembering of it. Yeah. And then we’ve got “well being” and then “ease with body” and “health.” Yeah. If you could pick one energy right now, what is it for 2024 for you? What are you asking for? 

 

[00:10:09] Sometimes, it’s the exact opposite of what we’re not appreciating in our life right now. That’s sometimes the quickest way to find the energy. And that’s okay too, guys. 

 

[00:10:22] Some people would say, “Oh, no, I don’t want to focus on…” maybe what we might judge as the negative and we’d be like, “Oh, no, I don’t want to.” But what if that’s what gets you there? 

 

[00:10:30] What if you’ve been really struggling financially in 2023 and you really are tired of that, so then maybe it is “prosperity” or “abundance” or “rich” or something like that, because you know what you don’t like?

 

[00:10:46] Please count those, guys. Knowing what we don’t like is as valuable as knowing what we would like, and it’s energies or specifics or mix of both. 

 

[00:10:56] “Balance,” “empowerment,” we have “balanced health,” “friendships.” That’s awesome, guys. 

 

[00:11:03] All right, so first step, ask. What would you like for, in this case 2024?

 

[00:11:09] Next step is ACTION. 

 

[00:11:11] Now, I laughed earlier saying this is hugely the one that people ignore, and I mean I can speak for myself. This one, for so many years, I ignored. 

 

[00:11:22] Going back to my years within the Law of Attraction, I really thought if I did the figuring it out, got really specific with the car I wanted, wrote out everything, the tire size and all of that, and then just sat on the couch and hoped and prayed and wished… and it just never worked like that for me, guys. It just didn’t. 

 

[00:11:42] What I found is adding action. So, what’s required? If you look at that one energy — I’m going to use Hannah because she’s the last one who posted on the chat here with “friendships” — what is required to manifest more friendships? 

 

[00:11:57] Now, there’s three ways that we can take action. There’s probably more, but these are, I would say, the three that work when I look at this, when I look at taking action. There’s physical action to take often, there’s logical action to take often, there’s energetic action to take, and I’m gonna say and I’ll speak for myself here, 100 percent of the time.

 

[00:12:22] I always have an energetic action to take with with my asks. I may have a physical and I may have a logical, and the logical and physical may look the same. They may be the same sort of a thing and that’s totally fine. It’s just sometimes they’re a little bit different. 

 

[00:12:38] I put this example on because in your guys’ email responses to me, so many of you were asking for more money or money stuff or peace with money, abundance, prosperity, all of that, so I used it as an example. 

 

[00:12:51] A physical action that you could take if you would like to feel abundant. A physical action that you could take is get clear on the money that you owe and the interest rate of, say, each credit card. 

 

[00:13:03] Let’s say you’re not feeling abundant because you have a lot of credit card expenses. Okay, so physical action: get clear on it. 

 

[00:13:12] When I had a credit card — lots of them — and line of credits, and all of this, I had actually had a spreadsheet that I used, and I tracked what the interest rate of each one was, what the limit on each one was, and where I was at it, like how much I had on it, I should say, so I could be very clear on what was exact, what was actually going on, rather than putting my head in the sand. 

 

[00:13:37] So, physical action could [be] get clear. Logical action could be where you contact the credit card company and discuss lowering your interest rates. 

 

[00:13:47] Now, physical and logical in this case could be the same, right? That if you’re going to contact the credit card company, that’s also physical action. Again, physical and logical often work together or very similar, but I do like to separate them. 

 

[00:14:01] Of course, we’re going to add some what we could call “woo-woo” to it. For me, the energetic action then is I need to be shifting energetically into that abundance energy. 

 

[00:14:15] Something that I talk about a lot is familiar energy. If you have a familiar energy to credit card expenses, credit card debt, that’s a familiar energy. What often it takes to shift a familiar energy is to get more familiar with the energy you would like. 

 

[00:14:38] For me, I find the energetic exercises, that’s why I talk about them all the time, that’s why I do them all the time, because what I’m doing is I’m taking that energy I would like and making it more familiar for me.

 

[00:14:51] This past summer, we sold our home. Once all the paperwork and everything was done, then the lawyer put the money into our bank account. That occurred on a, I think it was a Wednesday. On the Saturday, I went into the bank account, I looked on Wednesday too and just did a little screenshot, sent it to Hubby, he was like, “WhoopIe!” and then just left it. And then on the Saturday, I went into the bank account and it was gone. 

 

[00:15:24] Our account was in the minus, which our account has never been in the minus. I’ve had a lot of credit card stuff previous to 2014. I used to live off credit cards, all of that. But in terms of bank accounts, never, ever had in the minus. Here, our account was in the minus of these hundreds of thousands of dollars. It was a long weekend here in Canada, so I had to wait until Tuesday. It was Saturday. I had to wait until Tuesday before I could talk to the bank. 

 

[00:15:57] What I was so aware of is that on the Wednesday when that money got deposited, it was, I’m going to say, an unfamiliar energy for me. So then when on Saturday it was gone, that was a familiar energy for me. I don’t mean like the shock of it being gone. That’s not familiar to me, but it not being there was more familiar. So I was so aware of that on the Saturday. 

 

[00:16:22] I mean, I didn’t really panic because what I assumed had happened is I should have maybe talked to the bank that this lump sum was coming in, so that’s kind of the story I told myself. So then I took those days and just kept doing energetic exercises to be more familiar with the energy of that money in my bank account as opposed to it not being there. 

 

[00:16:45] And then on Tuesday, what was really funny is when I did talk to the bank, she’s like, “I’ve never seen this before. I don’t know what happened.” I’m like, “You’re freaking me out.” But anyway, it was all fixed. It was actually a mistake by the bank itself. Anyway, just an example of familiar energy. 

 

[00:17:06] We need to be shifting those energies and that, to me, is where the energetic exercises come in. Okay. All right.

 

[00:17:14] So, that’s action. You might have a physical, you might have a logical, you might have 10 physical actions or 10 logical actions. There’s no limit on [it]. It’s not like it’s just one action. Sometimes it is, and sometimes it’s more. Sometimes there’s no physical or logical. Maybe it is just energetic. 

 

[00:17:34] I talk about energetic exercises [but] maybe you have your own way. The energetic exercise aren’t the only way. It’s just that’s my way. You might have a different way that you like to do that. But just recognizing that there’s going to be action. No matter what, there will be action to take for whatever energy that you’re asking for, or energies. All right. 

 

[00:17:56] So then RECEIVING is where awareness, presence, and tenacity come together. What that means is you need to be aware of where you’re blocking receiving and change it. 

 

[00:18:14] How we block receiving can be so interesting. It could be multiple ways. I just jotted a couple things down here.

 

[00:18:22] JUDGING is one of the biggest ways that we block receiving, meaning, let’s say somebody won the lottery in your town. You start going, “How come they get to win it and I never win it? Look at them, they don’t even need the money. They were born with a silver spoon in their mouth,” or whatever. Right? We’re blocking receiving. What if we could celebrate their receiving of that? What if that would actually expand us energetically to receive even more? 

 

[00:18:53] ZONING OUT is also a really interesting way that we can block receiving. Let’s say somebody says to you, “Oh my gosh, I really love your dress today.” You’re like, “Oh yeah, thank you,” or, “Oh yeah, I got it,” so and so. “Oh, it’s half price,” or where you just zone out. You’re not even present with the gift that they’re gifting you. 

 

[00:19:17] Or DISTRACTING YOURSELF. It’s another way. We can go on social media of some sort and really stop receiving. By that, I mean if we’re on social media, let’s say you’re on TikTok, and you’re watching some TikToks, you can be doing it from distraction. You could also be doing it from receiving. It’s just a different energy. If you’re looking to do it from receiving, get present. Be present while you’re there with that.

 

[00:19:47] Now, at least the way that I see it, there’s nothing wrong with distracting ourselves. I love watching different Netflix things or going on TikTok or social media. It’s just where am I when I’m doing it? Am I blocking receiving or am I actually enhancing my receiving or building my receiving muscles?

 

[00:20:09] Now, ways to change it. If you recognize that you’re actually blocking the receiving, then how can you change it? 

 

[00:20:16] One, my favorite way probably, in that moment, is drop your walls and barriers and receive it. 

 

[00:20:25] Yesterday, Hubby and I went out to a pet sit that will start on January 3rd about half an hour from here. We just went to meet the animals and meet the couple and walk through the house and do those sorts of things. 

 

[00:20:39] With pet and house sitting, it’s been a really interesting adventure because some people who have you come in. The way we do it is through something called “Trusted Housesitters.” We don’t actually get paid, okay? It is a win-win. We have a place to stay. They have all the things, and we get to hang out with animals. They get a win-win because they get to go away knowing that their animals are loved, their home is taken care of, all of that. For us, it’s a win-win. 

 

[00:21:12] Some people are a little bit different in it, where they might see it as they’re doing us a favor. Like, you get to stay at our house, so we’re doing you a favor. Luckily, we’ve had very few of those. 

 

[00:21:27] Usually they’re more this other way, which is, “I can’t believe you’re doing this for us. We are so grateful.” Now, that’s how we show up. We are so grateful. “I can’t believe you’re sharing your home and your pets with us.”

 

[00:21:40] When those two meet, when those two energies meet, it’s such a contribution because both of us are aware it’s a win-win and we’re both gifting and receiving. 

 

[00:21:50] Yesterday when we got there, it was beyond the win-win in their world. We haven’t actually experienced this from anybody yet where that they’re like, “What groceries can we get for you? What can we have here for you so that you’re comfortable? Could we get you gift cards? Can we get you blah, blah, blah…” Rodney and I were both in the space of like, “Oh gosh, no,” like the space of not receiving it.

 

[00:22:19] It probably took me about three minutes to recognize what we were doing because they were so grateful that we would come and stay and love their animals and their home as they do and they just wanted to gift us and shower us with gifts. It was so interesting because all of a sudden I realized we are blocking this. 

 

[00:22:40] [I] stopped and I just dropped my walls and barriers, and it’s an energetic thing for me. I’ve done it for so many years now that it’s quite quick. If it’s new for you, it might take you a little bit longer and you might have to find your way. 

 

[00:22:56] For me, I can energetically, I don’t even have to close my eyes. I’m doing that right now, but if I’m standing in front of somebody who’s offering to leave me gift cards for the grocery store, then I can just have my eyes open, but I can energetically feel or perceive my walls up and I can just drop them. 

 

[00:23:20] If you’re visual, you could imagine a bunch of bricks and then crash them down. You could imagine expanding beyond the walls and barriers, whatever you need to do. But it isn’t for me. It’s just an energetic recognition that I’m not receiving, and then shifting it so that I do. 

 

[00:23:39] What I started shifting it to is every time she kept saying something or he kept saying something like, “We’ll leave you this and we’ll go get you this sort of bread, and we’ll make sure we have this in the fridge,” I’d just be like, “Thank you. That’s very kind.” Every time I said that, I would expand out further. I would drop and push those barriers even farther because it was a huge invitation of receiving that was like, wow. Wow. It was so cool.

 

[00:24:05] What was even cooler is that when we left there, we went to a diner and had a meal. Rodney had ordered soup before his meal. We’ve been in there a few times, this is the first time we ever saw the owner. When she brought him the soup, she looked at me and she’s like, “Would you like some? I can bring you a bowl of soup if you would like.” 

 

[00:24:30] It was like, we’d already paid. It’s kind of one where you go up at the front, you order first and pay, and then you go sit down. Right away, I could feel that energy again. I’m like, “Sure, that would be great, thank you.” 

 

[00:24:42] And so she brought me soup, and then she brought me extra, oh, I can’t remember, salad or whatever it was. It was just like this whole energy of receiving it. “Thank you, that’s very kind. Thank you, that’s very kind.” 

 

[00:24:57] I don’t know about you guys, but when I’m not receiving, it gets really wonky in their world, too. Same thing for me. If the person who I’m attempting to gift to isn’t receiving, it gets wonky in my world. The more we’re willing to receive, the more we’re willing to gift and receive, the more ease it is in all of our lives. 

 

[00:25:22] And then, of course, another one of my favorites, an energetic exercise to shift it. 

 

[00:25:27] In those moments – standing in front of the house sit that we’ve got coming up, standing in front of that couple, I’m not going to take time to go do an energetic exercise and be like, “Can I just have a moment?” No, I don’t do that. 

 

[00:25:41] In those moments where it’s just like dealing with it in that moment, I’ll drop the walls and barriers. But then, I haven’t actually done it yet, but now I’m going to now that I remember. I’m thinking about it. I’m gonna do an energetic exercise to really receive for people that would like to gift and really look at how much farther I can receive it. How much farther can I expand into that? 

 

[00:26:06] The other thing that I have found really helpful when I’m not receiving is go do something completely different.

 

[00:26:13] Let’s say you’re in judgment. Let’s say you’re spinning in judgment, somebody won the lottery, and how dare they and you know… just go do something different. Go take a walk, go phone a friend, go watch some funny videos. Just go do something physically different to really break that habit almost in that moment.

 

[00:26:37] Those are just, again, a few suggestions on how to change when you recognize that you’re not receiving because really, with these spaces, it is this that we’re asking. 

 

[00:26:52] Whatever the energy is we’re asking for — I’m going to use “abundance” because I was talking about that. We’re asking for more abundance. In order to have more abundance or whatever it is you’ve asked for, there’s a level of receiving with that. That is so huge. This part is certainly important. Yeah. 

 

[00:27:13] We will end today with an energetic exercise. I will walk you through one of those, guys. All right. 

 

[00:27:20] So, CLARITY. Number four is basically, you’re gonna look back at steps one, two, and three. You’ve taken those steps, now what? Now, you need to look at okay, what is working? What is working with this? 

 

[00:27:35] Let’s say, again, we’re talking about abundance and you’ve done some energetic exercises around it. You’ve taken some action. You’ve talked to the credit card companies, all of that. 

 

[00:27:45] What is working? Maybe the credit card companies did lower the interest. Okay, cool. What isn’t working? Maybe you’re still putting money on them. Maybe you’re still using them. Okay, so what action’s required there? Maybe you’re required to cut them up or something like that. Okay. We’ve got to look at what is working, what isn’t working. 

 

[00:28:04] Sometimes, we’ve got to look at, has our ask changed? Maybe our ask was abundance, and we’ve talked to the credit card companies and we’re doing all the things, but maybe it’s like, it’s a little bit different now. Maybe it’s something like, I don’t know, peace with money. Maybe that more matches the energy of your ask now. Maybe you’ve got the energy of abundance, and now it’s about shifting it to something different for you. 

 

[00:28:29] And then always, always, always, are there different actions to take? Because if there are, then you want to be aware of those and be taking those. 

 

[00:28:39] Now, everybody does this sort of stuff differently. I track everything. I’m a big, big tracker. I really think that the more we track things, the more that we’re going to add magic to it. I have spreadsheets about this stuff for myself. I laugh because it sounds so bizarre, I’m sure to some people, but it’s how I track it. 

 

[00:29:08] What I know for myself is if I don’t track it, I’m not going to change it. I’m not actually probably even interested in changing it, I’m just giving lip service. The things that I track are the things that will change. Always, always, always. Because by tracking it, I’m adding awareness. 

 

[00:29:25] What I would suggest with something like this, you don’t have to be as weird as me with a spreadsheet, but you could use a note on your phone. You could set a reminder every week or every month. I wouldn’t do it longer than a month, but weekly might be too much. But once a month, go and check out. Go look at those energies you’ve been asking for. Look at what the actions you have been taking. Look at the actions you haven’t been taking. What’s required? 

 

[00:29:50] Go through these questions: What’s working? What isn’t? Has the ask changed? Are there different actions to take? Because the other piece with all of this is we often will actualize or manifest our ask, and then guess what? We don’t even recognize it because we haven’t tracked it. We haven’t paid attention.

 

[00:30:09] Another word for tracking could be presence. We haven’t got present with it. For me, the best way, the easiest way to be present with it is to track it. You might have a different way, but just know that if you are doing a little bit of this work and then you just leave it and then you may be re-watching this in a year and you haven’t done anything with it in between, that’s probably not going to work near as well as if you’re willing to be present with it.

 

[00:30:38] Those are the steps. I’m just going to go back to the first slide here. Asking, action, receiving, clarity, and then basically repeat, repeat, repeat. We, of course, are talking about this as creating 2024 to be the most magical year so far as if by magic, but you could do it for anything if you want to. 

 

[00:31:04] If you look at that ask, you know, whether it’s steps to create the abundance you would like, to create the job you would like, to create whatever it is, these are the steps no matter what the what the topic is. These are the steps that you can go through.

[00:00:00] Would you like a weird question to ask to increase your confidence? Welcome to Tools to Create a Better Life with myself, Glenyce Hughes. Thank you so much for being here. I am so incredibly grateful for each and every one of you. Truly, truly grateful. 

 

[00:00:17] I know some of you have been listening for years and years, and I just want to send a big hug to all of you, whether it’s years and years, or this is the first one, or whatever it may be, I’m just so incredibly grateful.

 

[00:00:30] So, a weird question to ask to boost your confidence, and this is actually Noah St. John’s. He came up with this idea of “afformations” instead of affirmations, and I have always loved them. 

 

[00:00:50] Now, if you have been a long time listener, you might have heard me speak with Noah St. John back in July of 2013. Yeah, over 10 years ago. Holy. That was one of my very first podcasts that I did. I invited him on the show. I was shocked when he said yes, and I’m just so grateful. 

 

[00:01:13] So, afformations are turning something into a question, and it’s got an energy of an affirmation, you know? An affirmation is something we usually state as something we would like. “I am toned and sexy,” or something like that. What Noah St. John has found to be way more effective, myself included, is to turn it into a question. 

 

[00:01:42] Because what happens is our brain is always searching for the questions that we ask. Always. It’s just unfortunate because most times we’re asking questions that we don’t want answered. 

 

“Why am I not toned?”

 

“Why am I not sexy?”

 

Those are not questions you want your brain to be putting energy into figuring out, my sweet friends. Let’s ask the questions we would like. 

 

[00:02:06] Here’s the question that I want to give you that’s from the whole title of this, right? The question to be confident as fuck. “Why am I always so confident?”

 

Why am I always so confident? 

 

Why is confidence so easy for me? 

 

Why do I always feel so confident in every situation? 

 

[00:02:27] You get the idea? Now, notice that. Okay, let’s do this and do this with me. 

 

I am confident. I am confident. 

 

Now for me, there’s a little bit of an expansion with that, absolutely, but it comes back down. There’s an expansion and then it clunks in again. 

 

[00:02:49] Try this: “Why am I always so confident?” 

 

That to me, there’s such an expansiveness. It’s such a lightness. It always makes me giggle. “Why am I always so confident?” Or, of course, if you like my terminology, “Why am I always confident as fuck?” because I love that.

 

[00:03:10] Oh, I just had a woman today. I’m just in a different online class today. I’m attending it and I was just sharing the title of my course and she said, “I don’t know what ‘AF’ is. Would the people who would be taking the course know what it is?” I’m like, “Yep, they sure would.” 

 

[00:03:33] So AF – Confident as Fuck. This is also an invitation, guys. Come and play. [00:04:00] But that’s really what we’re looking for is that turning it into an afformation. For me, it gives it this lightness. It gives us this expansiveness. 

 

[00:04:09] I’m now giving my brain something to do. Something to figure out why am I always confident as fuck, where we will start receiving the evidence continuously, because that’s what we’re asking for. Our brain will constantly find the answers. 

 

[00:04:26] So, let’s start asking the questions that we would like answered. Why am I always so confident as fuck? Why is confidence so easy for me? Why does confidence come so naturally for me? 

 

[00:04:40] Now, one of the bonuses for the Confident as Fuck program is the list of the top ten of the doubts or the limitations that we have with this sort of stuff and how to turn those into affirmation. If that’s something you’d like, go check out the bonuses. 

 

[00:04:57] There’s another really cool one. It’s a whole calendar for every day in 2024. There’s an actionable step to build your confidence. And then of course, there is a Confident as Fuck energetic exercise. Go check those all out. 

 

[00:05:11] But is really what we want to be doing, is turning these things into questions so that we are actually putting our creative energy into what we would like, which in this case is being more confident.

 

[00:05:25] So, again, noticing that when we state, “I am confident,” not as much energy, at least not for me, as to, “Why am I always so confident? Why is confidence so easy for me?” I just love the energy of those. 

 

[00:05:42] When we’re looking at building something, in this case, building confidence, this is not something you do once and expect it to change everything dynamically 100%. I’m not saying it can’t, it’s just if you’ve struggled with doubt, if you’ve struggled with lack of confidence, chances are you have asked certain questions that you probably didn’t want answers to for years and years and years. It will take some time to shift it. I don’t mean it will take years and years and years. I just mean it’s going to take some time. 

 

[00:06:19] You could even be writing down some afformations so that when you are spinning in the doubt, spinning in the frustration, spinning in the unworthiness, the lack of, you’ve got some go to’s right there. You don’t have to, in that heavy energy, try to figure out what an afformation is because sometimes that heavy energy is going to contribute to us staying in that heavy energy. Having some on hand, maybe a note on your phone or something like that, is a great idea. 

 

[00:06:49] It can be just simple where you could just basically do the opposite. If you’re asking, “Why am I failing in business?,” [then] “Why am I succeeding in business? Why is business success so natural for me?” We could just, you know, take it to the complete opposite. 

 

[00:07:07] It kind of is going to depend how far down the rabbit hole you are with the spinning in the doubt and the limitations to know if you can shift it on your own, or if you’re going to maybe need kind of an outside resource or something like that, but it’ll just give you that idea that, you know, there is a way to shift it. There is a way to change it in that moment.

[00:07:55] And of course, afformations is one of those because yeah, that’s how magical I think that they are. That’s how magical they are. Not that I think that they actually are.

 

[00:08:04] Of course, with afformations, you can use them any time throughout the day as required. You also might want to start your day with some and maybe at, you know, intervals throughout the day just to get into that habit of asking those questions. 

 

[00:08:19] Especially since they can seem a little bit silly or a little bit bizarre, so to speak, because of the wording of them like, “Why am I always feeling confident” or “Why is confidence so easy for me?” That’s a little bit of, maybe a bizarre question that we’re used to because we’re used to being like, “Why do I not have any confidence? Why am so unworthy?” We were so used to asking those heavy questions. It might take some muscle building, so to speak, to get you intointo asking these afformations. 

 

[00:08:55] With that myself, I’ve always found just getting in the habit. How can you create that habit? 

 

[00:09:01] I have spoken at length for years about how I create habits. My favorite way is of course the Reminder app on my phone. This pops up at a certain time, whatever I’ve set it for. Ask affirmation or it could just say, “afformations.” I don’t necessarily have to have a specific one I ask all the time, but just something to get you in the habit of creating the habit of asking. 

 

[00:09:26] And then what occurs with that is you will start to notice that that becomes more of your set point than the doubt and the distraction and the upset and the frustration and all of that, but it takes us with what I often call that “tenacity.” The tenacity to be like, “You know what? Yes, I’m doing this no matter what.” 

 

[00:09:50] The other thing that I talk a lot about is “familiar energy.” And so, familiar energy, to me, is if you’ve spent most of your life doubting and feeling unworthy and in frustration and all of that, that’s a very familiar energy. When we add something like this, like asking afformations that could assist us to change that familiar energy, sometimes we resist it because the familiar energy is so… familiar. Imagine that. But it’s so much more valuable because we’re so familiar with it, we’re so comfortable with it. 

 

[00:10:29] This is where the tenacity comes in. This is where how can you create it as a habit? This is where, for me, the Reminder app popping up to remind me. You could use sticky notes. It doesn’t matter. But what do you need to do? What action can you take to shift that familiar energy to go beyond the comfort of that familiar energy into what you would actually like?

 

[00:10:50] That’s something you’ve got to look for yourself. It does take the tenacity, but let me tell you guys, it is so worth it. It’s so worth it to change it and to actually be feeling confident more than you’re not. That’s magic, my sweet friend.

[00:00:00] Why you should be bragging. Welcome to Tools to Create a Better Life with myself, Glenyce Hughes. Thank you so much for being here. I’m so incredibly grateful for each and every one of you. 

 

[00:00:13] Yeah, why you should be bragging? I know that most of us were probably taught as children that bragging is very, very wrong. In fact, it’s maybe even like a judgeable offense if you are a bragger. I believe there’s even like bragger bragger — no, that’s liar liar. Okay. But anyway, we’ve mostly been told that it’s wrong. I’m here to say, what if it’s not? What if that’s actually a missing piece of you really celebrating you? 

 

[00:00:47] Now, do I mean that we have to go on social media or walk up to people and start talking about how amazing we are, great we are? You could, of course, but that’s not actually what I’m talking about. 

 

[00:00:59] What I’m talking about in this case is what about you bragging to you about you? What a different concept. I know. It’s just that we downplay our gifts, our capacities, our accomplishments, our victories, whatever you want to call them. We downplay them so much that we don’t even celebrate them. We don’t even recognize that we’ve done something that is celebratory because we’re so used to downplaying them. We’re so used to making them like, “Oh, it’s just no big deal. It’s just no big deal.:” 

 

[00:01:39] I was recently working with a client and she has this huge following on social media. In our session, she was talking about how she has so little people on her email list. Okay?

 

[00:01:57] Now, that may be the case, but she was doing it as how much less she is, how wrong she is that she has nobody. I’m like, “But look at that group. Look at that group.” She said, “Oh well, no, that’s because of whatever…” and really downplayed it rather than going, “Wow.”

 

[00:02:19] And then of course, in that case, a question can be how to move them from the Facebook group onto her email list if that’s what you’re looking for. But the first step, the first step, is acknowledging what you’ve done, what you’ve created. 

 

[00:02:35] I know that most of us, again, are taught that we’re to focus on what isn’t working or what is not where we would like it to be. But you know what? We’ll never, ever, ever be completely happy and satisfied with where we’re at. And let’s celebrate that, too. 

 

[00:02:56] Now, I’m going to explain that a little bit because it kind of sounds like, “What? That’s it? I’ll never be happy and satisfied?” That’s not it. It’s just that every one of us — if you’re still watching this a few minutes in, we’re listening to this, however you’re consuming this, you’re still here, then you would like more out of your life constantly. I mean constantly, and I think we should celebrate that. 

 

[00:03:22] I’m the same way. The same way. I can achieve some goal or dream or victory or something, and then it’s like, “All right. Now, what? Now, what?” and there’s the next thing. We’re like that. That’s just who we are. Let’s celebrate that. 

 

[00:03:39] But also, when we do have reached that goal or accomplished the dream or whatever it is, let’s also celebrate that instead of downplaying like, “Oh, that just happened because so and so did whatever,” or “I mean, that wasn’t really me.” It’s like… oh. 

 

[00:03:55] I remember years ago, it was 2002 when I took my first Reiki class. It was so drilled into us in that class, and I continued drilling it as I facilitated Reiki classes in the years after, that we were never, ever, ever to acknowledge ourselves if somebody had anything occur in that Reiki session. If somebody came in with a headache and they had a Reiki session and they didn’t have the headache after, we were always to say, “Oh, it wasn’t me. It was the energy.” 

 

[00:04:33] Now, on one hand, I totally get that. It is not probably healthy to say, “Oh, that was totally me,” because it’s not if there’s a whole mix, right? If we are doing Reiki or any sort of energy work on someone else, it’s a mix. It’s that person receiving it and us and all the things. 

 

[00:04:53] But to totally cut it down every time — and I was so stuck in it, I’m going to say, that somebody who knew nothing about any of this – they tried Reiki for the first time because they hadn’t had success with anything else out there, and they just tried it and they just said after, “Wow, I feel so good,” my response to that wasn’t “You’re welcome.” It wasn’t “I’m happy about that.” It was “It wasn’t me. It wasn’t me.” 

 

[00:05:21] I mean, it sounds so ridiculous now, but that is the energy of it. I had been taught and I had really taken it on that somehow I would — I don’t know what would happen to me if I said, “Oh, I’m glad that we created that” or “I’m glad that that’s occurred,” or received some of my part in that. 

 

[00:05:43] Yeah, right? I mean, there’s so much where we downplay, where we cut off, and it’s like, what if we could actually acknowledge ourselves, celebrate what we did do in that session? 

 

[00:05:57] I don’t mean we have to figure out what we did in that session because stuff like energy work is not really figure-out-able. That’s the magic of it. But also, not pretend that we weren’t part of the magic there because we totally were part of the magic there. Yeah. 

 

[00:06:12] When I talk about why you should brag, this is what I’m talking about. This is where you need to be celebrating you. The more that you celebrate you, the more that you’re going to achieve whatever it is you would like to achieve.

 

[00:06:28] I have a sweet little kitty here. You might hear her. I don’t know if you can hear that or not, but she’s so cute. I’m currently in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and at a friend’s house who happens to have a kitty, and she happens to be away right now, so we’re kind of pet sitting. Not kind of, we totally are. 

 

[00:06:47] But anyway, so, bragging for you. Now, I have recently created this really cool daily actionable calendar to be confident as fuck. It is a bonus for anybody who joins us for the Confident as Fuck, the 5-week program that’s coming up starting in January of 2024. If you’re listening to this later, of course, it’s been recorded. [00:07:16] But I’ve created this calendar. Every day for 365 days, there’s an actionable step to take to become confident as fuck, to really get that energy. One of the things that I’ve put on there and that’s really inspired this radio show because I thought many people, when they read it, will be like, “No,” is to phone a friend and have a bragging contest. 

 

[00:07:41] Right? Like, why the hell not? And of course, you want to choose the friend wisely. You want it to be somebody who’s maybe choosing like you are in certain ways so that they’re willing and able and excited to do it, and they know that it’s not a competition but that it’s for fun, and it’s building this muscle to really celebrate you, to be confident as fuck, and it can contribute to them also. Like, what if you did? 

 

[00:08:08] Imagine giving yourself — let’s say you phone a friend and you go five minutes each and maybe you, I don’t know, just choose whoever to go first. I was going to say draw straws, but you’re not in the same room so it doesn’t matter however you want to do it. 

 

[00:08:21] The first one goes and they just brag. Brag, like, really get the energy of, like, “Wow, this week I showed up to this meeting and I was prepared and I had everything that I wanted to cover, and I made sure that when they spoke about something I disagreed with that I spoke up,” you know? 

 

[00:08:43] It doesn’t have to be when things go perfect either. It could be like, “You know what? I showed up at the meeting. I wanted to cover these three topics. We didn’t get to the third one. I was really frustrated with myself after. Next time, I know that I’m going to make sure that this occurs.” Right? 

 

[00:08:58] Bragging doesn’t have to be about when did good, when you were perfect. It’s not about that, but it’s about acknowledging. It’s about acknowledging and celebrating and just getting the energy that you succeed every freaking day. 

 

[00:09:14] You succeed every freaking day, but you don’t see those successes. You don’t acknowledge those successes. You wipe them off. You don’t even look back.

 

[00:09:25] Imagine you, whatever, a year ago, five years ago, 10 years ago, whatever’s going to bring up the most energy for you, is that you back then? Would have they done this week what you did? 

 

[00:09:37] I’ll tell you for me, no. No. No. The way that I’m choosing to show up now, the way that I’m choosing to live now, the way that I’m choosing to ask for what I would like and allow people around me to be uncomfortable and be demanding in certain ways when it’s appropriate for me, I never would have done that. Maybe a year ago, a little bit a year ago, but five years ago? No. Ten years ago? Oh my gosh, no.

 

[00:10:10] This week, I still caught myself a few times, when I was asking for what I knew someone else was uncomfortable for, saying “I’m sorry.” I caught myself doing that and I was like, huh? Okay, I didn’t stop it in the moment. I heard myself say it. “I’m sorry, can you help me with this?” And then went afterwards like, wow, I don’t need to be sorry. I can just say, “Hey, can you help me with this?” 

 

[00:10:35] Or with some of them — they were medical professionals that I was around. What I started doing was say, whatever their name is, “May I ask you a question?” And that just changed it because I don’t [go], “Hey, I’m sorry, I have a question.” No. May I ask you a question? That allows them to make the choice if I can or can’t. 

 

[00:10:56] It also starts it off on a different energy than when I walk in and I go, “Oh, I’m sorry…” what the hell? No, I’m not sorry. I’m actually grateful that I have a question. Really grateful. 

 

[00:11:05] What was so cool is that the day after I caught myself saying “I’m sorry” a couple times in regards to asking questions, I ran into a family member in the hospital. She works there and I think we were just chatting about different things and I just was asking about something specific. 

 

[00:11:26] She said, “You know, questioning is really the best thing. You’ll you’ll never, ever go wrong by asking questions.” And I was like, oh, okay, this is really cool. I mean, I know that, and sometimes when I’m in, say, unfamiliar situations, it’s a little bit different and I can kind of lose that.

 

[00:11:43] My dad’s in the hospital, he had some surgery, everything’s going wonderfully, just in case you’re going, “What’s happening that you’re in a medical institution talking to professionals?” That’s what’s going on. All is well and I’m so grateful. Just wanted to cover that so we didn’t have any panic in anybody’s world.

 

[00:12:01] So, yeah. So, bragging about you to you or to friends or maybe you like to post on Facebook. You’ll see a lot of my posts can be about bragging. It could be seen as bragging – absolutely. I’m okay with that. There’d have been a time I wasn’t okay with that. I’m okay with that now. Okay, if people want to judge that, if they think it’s wrong, no problem. 

 

[00:12:24] I know for me that it builds my confidence every freaking day the more that I celebrate me to me. If I want to put it out in the world, cool also, but that part isn’t necessary. Just an additional if you’d like to.
